Lilith walked back to the parking lot and slid into her car, hitting her hands hard on the steering and falling back to the chair, her heart stinging with so much pain. She threw her head backward, heaving so many sighs before igniting the car and hitting the road.
Lilith pulled into the compound of the mansion and parked at the parking lot. Alighted and walked in sadly through the entrance door. Her heart missed a beat as she walked in to meet her father seating on the golden three-setter, directly opposite the entrance door, with a magazine in his hand, and his left leg, over the right.
Losing the contract was a disaster, already, but meeting her father while walking in was the greatest disaster, but she knew she had to get this done with, sooner or later.
"Good afternoon, Father. I am back." Her voice was monotone and she was more than grateful that she didn't shake, but her heart was shaken and she could swear that she looked really pale already.
