Chapter 12 - Chapter 12: Tony Panic

In the dojo, when Levis entered, he saw Colleen Wing with a wooden sword slung diagonally across her back, adjusting her attire in front of the mirror, seemingly preparing to go out.

"Neo?" Colleen Wing saw Levis and said, both happy and surprised, "Why are you here now? Didn't you say you'd come in the afternoon?"

"I had nothing to do this morning, so I just came over," Levis glanced at Colleen Wing's attire and asked with a smile, "Are you planning to go out?"

Looking at Levis, Colleen hesitated and said, "I thought you would come in the afternoon, so I arranged other things for the morning!"

Levis didn't mind and walked to the side, picked up a wooden sword, and while brandishing it, said to Colleen, "You go ahead and take care of your business. I'll just familiarize myself with things first."

Colleen thought about it; what she had arranged for the morning wasn't really that important, and she felt that Levis's arrival was more important. She didn't want to go out anymore, nor did she want to disappoint Levis.

"Neo, why don't I not go out and just practice with you first?" Colleen said, then looked at Levis, about to take off the wooden sword from her back.

Levis truly didn't mind this short delay, and he had no intention of holding Colleen back from her important matters, so he said, "Important matters come first. I'll wait for you here!"

Hearing this, Colleen also gave up on staying. She thought for a moment and then asked, "Why don't you come with me!"

"Together?" Levis put down the wooden sword in his hand and looked at Colleen in confusion.

Colleen nodded and explained, "This morning, I'm going to conduct an assessment for the students to test their training results. You can come with me, and it'll be a good chance to introduce you all to each other!"

Levis thought for a moment and then agreed to Colleen's suggestion. So, the two of them went out together to the assessment location.

Colleen seemed eager to finish the assessment early, acting very cleanly and efficiently. In a short while, all the students undergoing the assessment were knocked down, and then Colleen scolded them severely one by one.

"This is Neo, the new student at the dojo. He will be training with you all later!"

After the assessment, it was time to introduce Neo. After a few brief words, Colleen dismissed the students, and then, naturally, she and Levisreturned to the dojo to continue training.

In the dojo, the clashing sounds of wooden swords echoed, occasionally mixed with the faint gasps of a woman.

"Stop, that's enough for today!" Colleen stood in place, leaning on her wooden sword with both hands, looking very tired and out of breath. Her gray T-shirt rose and fell with the rhythm of her heartbeat.

Levis looked at her a couple more times.

After walking to the side and putting away his wooden sword, Levis came to Colleen Wing with a clean towel.

Colleen reached out to take it, but Levis directly used the towel to wipe the sweat from Colleen Wing's forehead.

Colleen looked at Levis with a flushed face, then closed her eyes, enjoying Levis's service.

After wiping her forehead, Levis continued to wipe Colleen's neck. Only after everything was done did he hand the towel to Colleen Wing.

The remaining areas, he found it inconvenient to help with.

"Colleen, are you free tonight?" Levis wiped his sweat, then raised his hand to check the time before looking at Colleen.

Colleen paused her hand and smiled at Levis, "What, are you planning to treat me to dinner again?"

"Is that okay?" Levis retorted.

"Of course," Colleen looked at Levis happily and said, "I don't mind eating another meal!"

Levis also smiled.

As dusk approached, Levis and Colleen left together. Having made a large sum of money last night, Levis was even more generous this time, choosing a high-end Western restaurant.

After dropping Colleen Wing off at the dojo, Levisturned and went home.

He didn't see Danny at the door, and Levis didn't think much of it, perhaps he was delayed by something.

Upon entering his room, Levis immediately went into the study and began to write today's diary entry.

In the Malibu Villa.

Tony finally stayed home tonight, neither going out nor having a deep conversation with any hot girl in his bedroom.

Explosive, dynamic music filled the entire Villa, but occasionally, sharp metallic clanging sounds were mixed in with the music.

In the Underground Room, Tony hammered away non-stop.

"Sir, tonight's diary has been updated. Would you like to hear it?"

Jarvis's voice always appeared at the right time.

"Whatever," Tony continued hammering indifferently.

"October 2007"

"Wait, you don't need to read out the dates anymore. I'm not interested in that," Tonyinterrupted Jarvis's voice, holding up a ring, examining it while giving instructions.

"Understood, Sir!"

"Crime in New York is still rampant. Almost every night, you can see thugs either robbing people or taking drugs."

"Meanwhile, on the other side of the city, well-dressed rich people, self-proclaimed members of high society, frequent high-end establishments every night, spending lavishly and enjoying themselves to the fullest."

"Such a city truly perfectly explains what it means to be half hell, half heaven!"

"Ha, that scoundrel can actually say such things!" Tony stopped and sneered, "Does that scoundrel not want to be a prophetic wizard and is preparing to change careers to become a social philosopher?"

No sooner had Tony finished speaking than Jarviscontinued to read the diary content.

"The most infuriating thing is that I'm not in the heaven half!"

"..." Tony fell silent, then immediately cursed, "Fuck! I'm so stupid, so incredibly stupid. I knew it, he's just a scoundrel! A complete and utter scoundrel!"

Jarvis was undoubtedly a very good listener, not interjecting throughout. Only after Tony had vented did he continue his task.

"But it doesn't matter. Once Tony gets kidnapped, I'll seize the opportunity to buy Stark Industries at rock bottom. Then, whether it's heaven or hell, I can choose freely!"

"Oh, and when Tony returns to New York again, I can go see him. After all, all the money I'm making is Stark's money, so it's only right to thank Tony."

After listening to the diary, Tony's face darkened again. The diary kept mentioning his kidnapping and Stark's stock, which made him particularly displeased.

But tonight wasn't all bad. At least Tony heard from the diary that he could return to New Yorkagain.

This meant that although he was kidnapped, he was ultimately unharmed!

"Fuck!" Tony suddenly snapped back to reality and cursed, "How could I possibly be kidnapped! How could I believe that scoundrel's nonsense!"

Tony felt he must be hallucinating, and he thought he should have a drink to calm down.

"Be confident, Tony! You are Tony Stark, the CEO of Stark Industries, the smartest person in the World. Believe in yourself, no one can kidnap you!" Tony kept cheering himself on.

However, the pep talk didn't seem to work very well. Tony's eyes remained slightly unfocused, perhaps the sudden thought that had popped into his head had truly scared him.

The fine wines stored in the wine cabinet were consumed glass after glass. With each sip, Tonycursed the scoundrel who wrote the diary.

Soon, a bottle of wine was finished, and Tonyfinally regained his confidence.

Then, he collapsed.
