Chapter 4 - CHAPTER 4

Ezra's POV

As he called the servants, some arrived and led me to my room, bringing my belongings with them. After showing me the room, they left while bowing.

"Master, I didn't really like any of your partners, 'cause he was talking about killing you," Vian said while unpacking my belongings.

I sat down on the bed, crossing one leg over the other.

"Vian, I also don't like them. And we don't have any other choice than staying here. So let's endure it—but I'm not going to stay silent in any situation."

"Well said, Master. How you talked with them earlier was so great. I'm really feeling proud that you are my Master."

I smiled at Vian's words. He unpacked everything and set it there.

In the meantime, I went to take a bath, but when I came out after bathing, I saw that omega sitting on the bed.

"What are you doing here?" I asked, taking steps toward him, and my eyes glanced around to see where Vian was—how did he let this omega inside?

Vian was standing near the wardrobe, looking down. And as I reached the bed, he still didn't stand up.

"I was really feeling bad that it's your first day here and you had to hear all those things. I'm really feeling guilty, so if you give me a chance, Ezra, I'd like to make it up to you."

He knows my name. Those three must have told him.

And why was he feeling guilty in the first place? It's not like he was the one who said all those things to me.

"It's nice that you want to make it up to me, but there's no need to do that since I'm already here as their partner. So it would be better if outsiders don't come Between me and my husbands," I said,

with a sweet tone, just like him.

His facial expression changed when he heard me—he was clearly angry and hurt. But I can't just sit here, listening to everything he says and nod like a slave.

He stood up from the bed with a gloomy face.

"I just wanted to help you feel comfortable around here, but you don't seem to like me at all. Did I do something wrong? If yes, please tell me, 'cause I'm happy that I got an omega friend."

What the hell is he saying—omega friend? He's talking like he doesn't have any friends.

I really thought he was pretending to be nice to me in front of them, but he's speaking the same way even in this room, where no one else is watching except Vian and me.

"Why do you want to be my friend? I know you must have many friends here," I said, signaling to Vian to bring my cloak because it was freezing.

And he did. I wore my cloak while glancing at that omega.

"Listen, I don't want to be friends with you, so leave me alone and go live your life comfortably without disturbing me."

I don't even remember what his name was.

"Please be my friend, Ezra. And my name is Rin. Why aren't you calling me by my name?"

"ARE YOU AN IDIOT?" I shouted.

"I don't want to be your friend, so why are you forcing me to do what I don't want? Or did you think that if you talked to me in your baby voice, I would give in like those three?"

His eyes looked down, and then he looked up at me, making eye contact. He was about to grab both my hands, but I stepped back so he wouldn't be able to touch me.

His eyes widened as I didn't let him touch me, and they became teary as well. He ran out of the room without saying anything.

Then I turned toward Vian.

"Master, I was not letting him come inside, but he said he had

something important to ask, and he pushed me aside to come in."

Then Vian fell to his knees in front of me.

"I'm sorry, Master. I failed as your most loyal servant."

I grabbed his shoulder and made him stand up.

"Vian, it's not your fault, so don't blame yourself."

He combed my hair, and I wore comfortable clothes, with the cloak as an outer layer.

I was walking around the room to see what was there, since I couldn't just leave this room and start exploring the mansion.

'Cause it would look like I'm a spy who came here to get something very important from this place.

That's why I will also behave nicely. And just then, the door opened—my legs froze, and I glanced at the door.

The second prince, Lazek, stepped inside in a hurry. I didn't understand why he came to meet me, because of course, he was not interested in me at all.

And just then, I felt a hard strike on my cheek that threw me onto the ground. All I could see was the floor. I placed my hands on it and stood up with its support.

Why did Lazek slap me all of a sudden? Did he come here specifically just to hit me?

My hand was on my cheek as I looked at him, standing right in front of him.

"Why did you hit me?" I asked.

"How dare you make Rin cry? He was happy to see you here—that's why he wanted to be your friend. But you only disrespected him, calling him a whore? Then what are you? I'll throw you into a brothel if you try to mess with Rin again."

I heard him and glanced at the palm of my hand. Then, without wasting a second, I slapped Lazek—and before he could understand what happened, I punched him in the stomach too, just so he would feel the pain.

"Mind your words, 'cause your so-called lover came to me on his own. I won't be friends with him—that's my choice. And the talk about throwing me into a brothel?"

"You should first look into your own character. When you already have a whore—or lover—why did you bring someone else here?"
