"Can't hold back anymore, Kaido?!"
Alucard finally pulled out his twin black and white pistols. Kaido was about to grab his kanabo from his back, but his hand froze when he reached behind him.
He suddenly remembered that he had accidentally thrown the thing away in a fit of rage back on Bannila Island.
The thought only fueled his fury. With a roar, Kaido went on the attack with his fists.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
Alucard fired several shots. Kaido met the bullets with his fists. His knuckles bled as the bullets hit them, but Kaido didn't care in the slightest. Instead, he started swinging his fists even more wildly.
THUD! BOOM!!!
Kaido's punch slammed into the ground, and the resulting cracks spread forward until they reached the feet of Garp.
"Garp-san! Stop them!"
The number of Marines surrounding Garp was growing, and they were frantic.
"Crunch crunch…"
Garp chewed on his senbei, his eyes hidden behind his sunglasses, making it impossible to see his expression.
Whoosh!
Suddenly, a blood pool began to climb up Kaido's arm from the pulverized ground under his fist. Alucard burst out of it, his pistols now replaced by a sword, and he swung it hard across Kaido's face.
"GRAAAHH!"
Kaido roared, swinging his other arm in a fierce elbow strike that knocked Alucard down again, causing another round of tremors on the ground.
ROAR! ROAR! ROAR!
A blood mist rose, acting like a portal. Four gigantic black dogs emerged from it, their mouths open. Their huge bodies and fierce eyes, no less imposing than Kaido's, stared back at him.
Kaido's eyes were bloodshot, but a sneer formed on his lips. "Is that all? Just a few drooling dogs?"
"Aren't they your kind, mad dog Kaido?" Alucard stepped out of the blood pool as his body entered its release stage.
"Wororororo…" Kaido suddenly started laughing upon hearing the familiar nickname "mad dog." He was a perfect example of how the outside world described his personality: mercurial.
"Hahahaha…" Alucard also started laughing for some reason. He was a temperamental person himself. However, after they both laughed for five seconds, Kaido suddenly swung his fist and bellowed, "Laugh at your mother, you bastard!"
"You really are a mad dog!"
Alucard's pupils narrowed as he sent the black dogs to counterattack.
Garp threw his empty senbei bag to the side, and a surge of overwhelming power erupted from him. Immediately, Alucard and Kaido felt as if space itself was freezing. Both of them stopped their attacks for a moment.
About fifty meters behind Garp, the three Boa sisters, who had just caught up, collapsed. Both of Hancock's sisters, Sandersonia and Marigold, fainted instantly. Hancock, on the other hand, was on her knees, her face pale as she struggled to breathe.
Alucard and Kaido paused their movements. They looked meaningfully at an old man in a floral shirt, who looked like a tourist, walking past them as if nothing was happening.
Garp…
The name flashed through both Alucard's and Kaido's minds.
Alucard had already noticed the Marines' presence. Kaido wasn't blind, either. He had known the Marines were waiting in the waters near the island since he started swimming over.
Garp's Haki was a warning. He had no intention of fighting, so he didn't make a move.
Of course, he himself might not have had any intention of fighting either.
Seeing this, the Marines who were disguised as civilians quickly melted back into the crowd.
Alucard turned and walked away, his back to Kaido. "Let's fight later. Restrain yourself, Kaido, unless you want to experience what you went through six months ago again."
"Hmph! I'll snap your neck one day!"
Kaido turned and left the town of Dressrosa. His crew would be arriving soon.
Alucard walked up to Hancock and frowned. "Can't stand up?"
"N-no…"
Hancock managed to let out a sound and struggled to stand up straight. She then noticed her two sisters and gasped, reaching out to check their breathing. She only relaxed after confirming they were alright.
Alucard knelt and touched the two girls, and they slowly began to regain consciousness.
"Let's go back," Alucard said, getting up and walking back toward the flower field. He had been staying there the whole time he was on Dressrosa.
After taking a couple of steps, Alucard noticed that Hancock hadn't followed as quickly as she used to. He turned his head and saw her looking dejected and dispirited.
"Heh…"
Alucard chuckled to himself, having guessed what was on Hancock's mind. He then walked away.
"Onee-sama, onee-sama," Marigold called out twice. Hancock finally looked up, her eyebrows furrowed. "Do you think we should continue like this?"
"Onee-sama, why are you suddenly saying that?" Sandersonia didn't understand what Hancock meant.
Hancock shook her head and quickly caught up to him. "It's nothing. Let's go."
About ten nautical miles from Dressrosa, Sengoku sat in a room on a Marine ship with a Den Den Mushi on the wooden table in front of him.
Sengoku was holding the receiver and speaking to the person on the other end. "Is that so? You're the only one in the Marines right now who can stop them from going berserk. I just got a report that the Beasts Pirates' 'Jack' team has entered Dressrosa. But that shouldn't be an issue for you. To be safe, I've also sent Kuzan into Dressrosa to prevent any unexpected situations, seeing as Kaido's men are all lunatics."
On the other side, in a street corner of Dressrosa, Garp, still in his floral shirt and shorts, also held a Den Den Mushi. His face was unusually serious. "Yeah… everything is based on the condition that civilians are not affected."
