"The Bird of Hermes is my name. Eating my wings to make me tame."
As Alucard said these words, a coffin slowly rose from the pool of blood. Its lid gradually opened, and inside, apart from the thick, clotted blood, a pair of once tightly shut eyes opened wide.
Garp instinctively felt an intense sense of danger and ordered everyone to retreat and be on guard.
However, just as Garp's order was given, countless splatters of blood erupted from Alucard's body, spreading in every direction.
Swoosh!
Suddenly, a flash of silver light erupted from the blood. Even Garp was surprised by its speed, which was faster than Borsalino. The light zipped back and forth across the battlefield.
Slash! Slash! Slash!
The flashes of light left behind countless silver blade pressures, each in a straight line, slicing through the bodies of the unprepared Marines in an instant. After passing through their bodies, the slashes soared into the sky, into the cliffs, tearing through the clouds and splitting mountain peaks!
Slash!
Another silver blade pressure came toward a group of Marines. Just as the Marines in regular vests were about to panic, a tall figure appeared in front of them.
Issho gripped his cane-sword in his right hand and the sheath in his left, exposing a small part of the blade to block the silver light. After taking two steps back, he roared and put all his strength into it, finally shattering the attack!
"Alright!!!"
"Amazing!!"
"As expected of Issho-san!"
However, despite blocking the attack, Issho didn't look happy at all. Instead, he looked down with a grim expression. "It's not a sword slash... it's a 'no-sword' slash. I've never heard of anyone in this world who can use a 'no-sword' slash with such skill."
The silver light stopped due to Issho's fierce block, and everyone saw the true form of the light. It was an old man with silver hair who looked like a mythical warrior. His eyes had no pupils and glowed with a silver light. He looked a little older than Garp, with his arms crossed over his chest and no shoes on. It was hard to imagine he had moved with such incredible speed.
But the old man was connected to the blood that erupted from Alucard, almost like he was a controlled puppet.
"Borsalino, how does that old man's speed compare to yours?" Kuzan asked, standing beside Borsalino.
"Scary So scary~~"
Borsalino's eyes were narrowed, focused completely on the silver-haired old man, as he kept repeating the word "scary."
Thump!
Suddenly, a tremor came from the ground. Before anyone could react, there was a second, then a third.
Alucard's pool of blood was spreading wider, and the Marines saw that something else was emerging from it!
ROOAARRR!!!
An earth-shattering roar, like a cry of sorrow and rage, came from a massive arm that emerged from the blood.
Momonga and the others gasped, asking in doubt, "A-a giant?"
But five seconds later, when the monster fully appeared, Momonga knew they were wrong. It wasn't a giant, it was the father of giants!
There were Vice Admirals who were giants in the Marines, but this creature was more than twice their size!
Its body was covered in snow and ice, and it radiated an intimidating cold with every move. It was like the guardian of this ice island. With every step it took, the island shook. When it was fully revealed, it blocked out the sun!
But it had one thing in common with the silver-haired old man from before—their bodies were connected by the strange blood shadows, as if they were being controlled.
"ROAR!!!"
The ice titan brought its fist down hard, smashing the ground and creating an earth-shattering explosion.
BOOM!
At the edge of the island, the ocean surged, creating one wave after another. A ship crashed into the shore, almost capsizing.
"Calm down! Calm down!" Kong commanded the situation, shouting, "Half of you, get ready for battle, and helmsmen, stabilize the ships!"
With a grim look, Kong muttered to himself, "What kind of move is this?"
On the battlefield, more and more people were walking out of the blood. But most of them, unlike the two who had just appeared, didn't look like they did when they were alive. Most of them had bloodshot eyes, were bleeding, and had their hands raised as if they were trying to grab something.
This was a slight difference in the River of Death. Stronger individuals could keep a bit of their sanity, while the weaker ones became lifeless zombies. They would mostly just grab and punch.
But even the first two to be summoned, the strongest in the current River of Death's inventory, couldn't use all their power from when they were alive.
Because they had no consciousness, only a crazed desire to fight—they would kill anyone they saw. How could they perfectly use their powers without the ability to think and make decisions?
However, all of this could be improved, because the River of Death could evolve!
"Monsters! Monsters!!!"
When the soldiers saw Alucard summon so many people at once, they screamed the same last words as those two Celestial Dragons.
Just as the Marines were about to be swallowed by the numerically superior River of Death army, Garp suddenly appeared in front of them and slammed a heavy fist into a large undead hand. The undead army instantly scattered, stopping their advance.
"What are you afraid of?!!" Garp roared, shocking the terrified Marines. It was like they were slapped while napping and had just woken up.
ROAR!
The ice titan's fist came down, and Garp punched back without hesitation. His tiny fist showed what "Iron Fist" truly meant. As his fist landed, Garp used both hands to grab the ice titan's fingers. He used all his strength and used an over-the-shoulder throw to toss it into another cliff!
Monster! There's a monster here too! An old monster!
"They're just a bunch of lifeless undead! What's there to be afraid of?!"
Garp waved his hand, signaling the entire army to attack!
