Chapter 1 - Prologue – The Boy from Uruste Village

Not far from the flourishing Astarte Kingdom, nestled between fields of golden grain and deep forest groves, lay a quiet village named Uruste. Unlike the bustling capital or the trade-towns along the riverways, Uruste was a peaceful place, home to hardworking farmers, blacksmiths, and simple folk—mostly human.

But there was one family who stood apart.

On a spring morning wrapped in mist, Amanda Meledric, a young woman with crimson hair and radiant eyes, gave birth to a child. The villagers whispered about her strange beauty, the shimmer in her voice, the way flowers bloomed faster where she walked. She was no ordinary human—Amanda was a Fae, one of the rarest being in the human realm.

Her son, born with jet-black hair and soft hazel eyes, was named Ares Meledric.

His father, a human adventurer, had gone missing during an expedition just months before Ares was born. The news had come quietly, with a sealed letter and a broken pendant. Amanda wept only once, then vowed to raise her son on her own—though she wasn't entirely alone. Her mischievous younger sister, Testia, another Fae with the connection of nature, came to live with them in Uruste.

Time passed.

Twelve years later, the day of Class Revelation arrived. Ares, now ten, was sent to the Mavela City the capital of Astarte Kingdom to receive his official Class and Rank—a rite of passage for every child in the kingdom.

When he returned, his expression was unreadable.

Standing before his mother under the old willow tree, he held out the glowing parchment.

> "My Class... is Tamer," he said.

"My Rank... is E."

Silence followed. Ares lowered his head, unsure if he should feel shame or disappointment.

But Amanda smiled—no, beamed. Her arms wrapped around him with joy as if he had returned a hero.

> "That's wonderful," she whispered, voice trembling. "A Tamer... you're truly your father's son."

Confused, Ares looked up. He had expected pity. Maybe even sadness.

But all he saw was love.

He didn't understand what made a Tamer so special. Or why his mother looked like she might cry from happiness. But he smiled anyway—because her smile made everything feel okay.

And in the wind that brushed past the willow branches…

A faint echo stirred.

A slumbering fate awakened.
