Chapter 106 - At it again

Angela.

His hands underneath mine gives me much needed courage to walk through the dreary cemetery.

An owl hoots somewhere in the distance, causing me to jerk.

Suddenly, his hands tighten on mine. I look up at him, trying to make out his features in the darkness.

"What is it?" I ask him.

His warm hand covers my mouth.

"What is going on?" I ask, his palm burying my voice.

He pulls me against the hard planes of his body and holds me still.

Perspiration starts beading at my forehead despite the chill of the night.

My heart thumps violently around my ribcage as I contemplate my current situation.

His chest heaves violently behind me, his breath burrowing into my hair.

I can feel the heat of his body through the fabrics between us.

"Who's there?" He calls out into the silent night.

I close my eyes, trying to listen for the sounds of another's presence.

All I hear is silence.

His grip on my mouth tightens, pulling me closer against him.
