Chapter 11 - Section - 11

Following Osamu's defeat, the other two seniors fared no better against Akira.

"This is so boring."

"Hey! Show us some Action here!"

"Ha! The seniors really are pathetic, they all just tripped and fell!"

The crowd is always merciless when it came to mocking, they enjoyed the feeling of kicking someone better than them when they are down.

Makes them feel superior.

"It'll be 1,240,312 private points." Akira felt no shame in asking for such a huge number. The student in front of him was from Class 3-B, there was a slim chance that he'll have that many points.

Just like he thought the senior student only had a little over 700,000 points on him.

"Since you don't have enough points, you'll have to pay me all your private points at the first of every month till the rest of points are paid."

Surprisingly his plan had succeeded till this point. He initially thought that the school might intervene considering the fact that the students are engaging in violence, but they just acted as spectators.

This was the difference between ANHS and other high schools, ANHS provides complete freedom to their students without any intervention.

Violence, Extortion, Blackmailing, Coercion, everything was allowed here as long as you don't get caught.

"…"

Akira passed a glance towards Chabashira sae, she had the usual apathetic expression on her face, as if she doesn't get paid enough for this… even though Akira quite literaly paid her.

[34%]

Her infatuation with Akira has risen slowly, Akira speculated it's probably because she views him as a student who can take promote Class D to Class A.

He wasn't wrong, to chabashira's eyes Akira was a hidden gem that somehow got placed in Class D. She was very optimistic about this year's Class D for now.

No student has ever tried to purchase the right to issue a challenge in front of the entire school.

Akira moved towards the mic once again, before he could approach the podium his way was blocked by someone.

Horikita Manabu had arrived with some other student council members accompanying him.

Manabu had no choice but to let Akira issue the challange. Akira had 'purchased' his right to do so using private points. Even as the student council president he didn't have the authority to overrule the school rules.

But now things were different, the challenge was over, there's no need to allow this madness anymore.

Manabu won't allow him to disturb the club fest anymore.

"You have caused enough of a commotion Kazama-kun, Now step down from the stage."

Akira didn't flinch. He simply raised an eyebrow, a faint smirk tugging at his lips.

"And here I thought the student council was supposed to protect the rights of students," he replied. "I paid for this platform. Are you saying my points are no longer valid?"

Manabu narrowed his eyes. "You exercised your right. You made your point. But this is the club fair, not your personal theater."

"Is that so?" Akira turned towards Chabashira, a gentle smile adorning his face. "Regretfully for you Horikita-senpai I—"

"It's no use." Manabu cut Akira off before he could finish, his voice laced with confidence.

"What do you mean?"

"You're planning to buy the right to exercise another challenge, don't you?" He raised his hand, tip of his finger laced against his glasses as he pushed them up. "I had a talk with the school authorities, from now on, if you wish to make an announcement during an event organized by the student council, you'll have to purchase the rights from the student council president."

Horikita Manabu was a smart guy, he knew that if Akira wants to cause anymore trouble, he can just use his newly acquired private points to buy the right to make another announcement.

As long as it's inside this school anything was available to purchase.

Manabu can't change this rule, but he can make alterations to it, now if the student council is organizing an event, they'll be the one to handle transactions around that event.

So if Akira wants to make another announcement he'll have to pay Manabu, and Manabu can name any price he wants.

"Is that so?" Akira looked at Chabashira sensei seeking confirmation who nodded in confirmation.

"That's very smart of you Horikita-senpai." Akira said. "But Regretfully for you, I had purchased the right to issue two challenges."

Manabu's eyes squinted at those words, he had an inkling something like this could happen.

As the student council president it is his duty to ensure that the club fair progresses accordingly. Horikita Manabu was a person who takes his resposibilities very seriously.

It was his goal to leave a mark on this school, to be remembered as the best student coucil president they ever had. Maybe even as the best student this school ever had.

Akira had already caused considerable Chaos for this club fair, Manabu was certain that it'll be very hard for Judo, Karate and Aikido club to find new members.

He can't let Akira cause anymore Chaos, so he turned towards to Chabashira.

"How many private points to revoke his purchase?"

If you can purchase the right to make announcement using points, you can use points to revoke others purchase as well.

Manabu could've attempted this previously, but he was curious to see what Akira had planned.

No student had ever attempted to purchase rights in ANHS, more so on their second day of school? The freshmen are all supposed to be in the dark about the S-system, but Akira seemed well versed in it.

Manabu suspected a leak of inside information but he doubted that more. ANHS was very rigorous in selecting it's students. It was to the point at which if Manabu was a year older, the school would have rejected his sister's application, assuming that he could've shared vital information with her.

Akira had figured the S-system out on his own, Manabu was sure of it.

He was optimistic about having such a bright junior, but he can't let him run wild anymore.

"Hmm, let's see… I have never been asked to sell such an absurd thing before. It might take some time for me to come up with a price."

Manabu's hand clenched into a fist at those words, Chabashira sensei was Akira's homeroom teacher, Akira had informed her to stall for time if such a situation were to occur, even if he hadn't informed her she'll still take his side.

Akira started moving towards the microphone, Manabu realised that he was at a disadvantage, if he had just 10 minutes he could've turned his situation around, but things don't always go your way.

He can't stop Akira right now.

Right when he had realised the situation and expected his defeat something unexpected happened.

Akira stopped and turned towards him.

"Do you want to stop me to stop?"

"…What do you want?"

"I want to fight you."

"…"

'Is this a guy a barbarian or something?' Horikita Manabu thought in his mind.

Akira could've used this opportunity to ask for a seat in the student council. That's what Manabu believed will be the right move. Maybe he was overestimating Akira.

"If it's my points that you're after then I can directly give them you, you'll just have to do what I say."

Being the student council president and the leader of Class A had it's perks. Manabu had plenty of points to spare, his personal savings alone were a couple mil.

"You're wrong Horikita senpai." Akira looked Manabu dead in the eye. "What I am after is you."

"…"

"In fact, everything I have done up to this point was just for an opportunity to fight you."

Manabu showed no expression on his face but was invardly confused.

If what Akira said is the truth then, why? This was the first time Manabu had met him in his whole life.

Why will he want to fight him so bad?

Could it be that he met him before? No, Akira had such a striking appearance, there's no way Manabu will forget meeting someone like him.

Then, could it be… for her?

"Are you doing this because of Suzune?"

Manabu had reached a rather far fetched conjecture, but nothing else made sense to him. There was no grudge between him and Akira and you wouldn't go so far to fight with someone without any past grudges.

So he concluded that Akira was doing this because of a grudge between him and his sister. Something must've happened between Akira and his sister and he's taking out his anger on him.

"You're wrong again Horikita-senpai," Akira spoke in a voice laced with sorrow.

"I am not doing this because of her, I am doing this for her."
