Chapter 3 - Ascension

Chapter 3 – Ascension

Sentry/Void/Tyler – POV

I awaken in the center of a wasteland.

What was once a snowy forest is now a superheated crater of glass and ash. The mountains are scorched. The pine trees are gone. For hundreds of miles in every direction, the land is obliterated.

> "I… did this."

I stand there, stunned by the magnitude of what I've unleashed. My transformation—my ascension—came with a cost. I stare into the charred horizon.

> "At least no one was around," I whisper, relieved.

I clench my fists. They're larger now—thicker, stronger. My entire body feels like it's been reforged.

> "This was nothing. If I lost control... I could erase this entire world."

A shiver runs through me. Not from fear. From realization.

> "One thing at a time."

I take a breath and go over what I know. I survived the destruction of my original universe. I met an eldritch being that gave me a second chance. Now I'm in The Boys universe. I drank the Golden Sentry Serum. And...

> "Yeah. Instead of destroying a building like the original Sentry, I went full supernova."

I sigh, then smirk.

> "At least no one died."

Time to test what I can do.

I raise my right hand, concentrating. A small orb of light materializes—no larger than a ping pong ball, but burning like a miniature star.

> "Let's try something else… a mirror."

I disperse the orb, shift my will, and feel the energy pulse through me. A mirror begins to form out of thin air—glassy, floating, solid.

> "Incredible."

I step forward, and for the first time… I see myself.

Tall. 6'5". White male. Muscled like a Greek statue. Golden blonde hair. Deep blue eyes. A glowing golden beard.

And I'm naked.

> "…Right. Costume time."

Light radiates from my body, engulfing me in a golden flare. When it fades, I'm wearing the classic Sentry uniform—complete with cape. The material feels like silk but denser than diamond.

I flex my hands, shift my shoulders.

> "Comfortable. And definitely not from this world."

Now clothed, now calm, I lower my hand to the earth.

> "Let's see what I can do about the mess I made."

Pentagon – Third Person POV

In a secure room beneath the Pentagon, a dozen agents watch in stunned silence.

The screen shows a man at the center of a former blast zone. He's glowing. Radiating. Calm.

> "What... what just happened?" the lead agent mutters, wiping sweat from his brow.

A young Black agent with glasses responds, barely holding it together.

> "Sir, the super who caused the nuclear-scale explosion... he just created a mirror and a costume out of thin air. We believe he's manipulating matter at the molecular level."

The lead agent stares at the screen, then turns away—clearly disturbed.

> "If he wanted to, he could wipe Washington off the map with a thought."

"I need to contact the President. We may need to consider full military force."

The room goes cold. Several agents glance at each other, stunned. One finally speaks.

> "Sir… he's moving."

All eyes snap back to the screen.

The golden man lowers himself to one knee. Places his hand on the ground.

His eyes begin to glow—then his entire body—shining like a second sun.

The light seeps into the earth. The glassed wasteland begins to shift. Cracks. Softens.

Then—

Life returns.

The scorched ground turns to damp soil. Grass sprouts. Trees burst into full bloom. Flowers blossom. Wildlife appears—deer, foxes, birds—all conjured from golden light.

In seconds, the wasteland becomes a lush forest.

A new Eden.

The golden man lifts his gaze.

And looks directly at the satellite camera.

He smiles.

And vanishes—blasting upward into the heavens.

The control room is silent.

Somewhere in Orbit – Tyler POV

> "I can't believe I just did that."

I hadn't meant to do all that. I was just trying to heal a small piece of land. But instead, I recreated an entire ecosystem.

> "I mean… damn. I just made life. And the government saw the whole thing."

I float in orbit now, alone in the upper atmosphere. Earth below. Cold stars above.

> "This is going to get messy. Vought will definitely want to get their hands on me. A super who can destroy and create?"

> "I can reshape cities. Turn deserts into farmland. Control rivers. Maybe even the weather itself."

> "And…"

I lift my left hand. A chill runs through it. Black energy curls around my fingers like living smoke.

> "The Void."

I can feel it. I know this darkness. It's not a stranger. It's a part of me.

And it's waiting.
