Chapter 24 - Leaving the Sect!

"Brother, kill me if you want, but I will never visit the Pink Blossom Tree Sect," Fatty Lambu cried out while holding the rock pillar in the outer hall.

"Stop acting like a child… just show me the path. I will take care of the rest," Mo Han said while trying to drag away Lambu.

"No, brother… you are underestimating the abilities of dual cultivators. With their pleasure magic, those women will make you a boy toy," Fatty said with a serious look as he tightly clung to the rock pillar.

"Don't worry about your life… I will protect you. Also, just show me the location from a long distance. You don't need to enter the Pink Blossom Tree. I will go alone. Just help me this once," Mo Han tried to persuade Fatty, who was reluctant to leave the rock pillar.

"Brother… if you really want women, I can matchmake you with beautiful servant girls inside our sect. But don't even think about the Pink Blossom Tree. Those witches will use you like a male puppet. Please listen to me… you came from far away, and that's why you don't know the horrors of a dual cultivation sect."

Fatty Lambu was almost in tears as he reluctantly denied Mo Han's request.

With a heavy sigh, Mo Han let go of Lambu's hand.

"It's okay… if not you, I have other ways to know the location of the Pink Blossom Tree. But remember that you betrayed the trust of your benefactor," Mo Han spoke in a serious tone, trying to emotionally blackmail Fatty Lambu.

But Lambu still held the stone pillar tightly, trying to look away from Mo Han.

Continuing the drama, Mo Han walked away without saying another word to Fatty. As expected, after walking just a few meters… Fatty came running behind him.

"Brother Han, why don't you listen to me? Please don't go there," Fatty said in a frustrated tone.

"Lambu, I thought I could trust you like my brother. But it seems you only care for yourself. Let it be… from now onwards, I walk my own path," Mo Han replied in a serious tone and turned around to leave.

With tight fists, Lambu gritted his teeth in frustration.

"Okay… I will come with you. But I will only show the location from a long distance. If you don't come back soon, I won't wait for you," Fatty said with a reluctant look.

"That's the spirit of a brave man. Let's go…" Mo Han said with an excited smile.

"Not so fast… first promise me that you won't drag me into the Pink Blossom Tree Sect," Fatty asked with his extended palm.

Mo Han slapped Fatty's hand and said, "Don't worry… I will protect you, even if I have to sacrifice my body to those lustful women."

Just as they prepared to leave, Lady Jia Kai appeared before them with a letter in hand.

She passed the letter to Mo Han and said, "Show this letter to the administration hall and take permission to leave. Also…" she passed her jade ring to Mo Han, "show this ring at the Pink Blossom Tree Sect."

"Is this ring some kind of currency?" Mo Han asked with a question while observing the jade ring, inside which the name KAI was engraved.

"Just do what I say… focus on finishing your task inside the Pink Blossom Tree Sect. Don't get distracted by naked women," Jia Kai said in a warning tone and left without looking back.

Mo Han stood staring at the leaving back of Jia Kai and the jade ring in his hand. He felt there was definitely a mystery behind this ring and decided to find out about it after entering the Pink Blossom Tree Sect.

Soon, Mo Han and Fatty went to the administration hall and submitted the letter given by Jia Kai.

The elder took a look at the letter before tossing it into a round bin on the side. He then gave a small wooden stick with red letters to Mo Han.

"You have three days to come back. In case of delay, there will be punishment according to sect rules. By the way, where are you going?" the elder asked with a serious look.

"Pin…k…" Fatty Lambu almost blurted out the name of the Pink Blossom Tree.

But Mo Han quickly intercepted and replied, "Visiting home for a funeral."

The elder nodded and gestured for them to leave.

With a fake smile… Mo Han held Lambu's hand and walked away from the administration hall.

The outer court disciples who were guarding the gate took a look at the wooden stick given by the elder and allowed Mo Han and Lambu to leave the sect grounds.

After a few minutes, they left the Burning Sun Peak completely and began their journey towards the Pink Blossom Tree. Fatty led the way while carrying the dry rations on his shoulder stick as usual.

Mo Han followed Fatty, observing the surroundings and path with keen interest.

"Brother Han, after earning money, we should first buy a chariot," Fatty suggested while walking in front.

"How much does a chariot cost?" Mo Han asked casually.

"An old chariot might cost 30 spirit stones. But the best ones will cost more than a hundred spirit stones," Fatty replied with an exaggerated look.

"Ohh… let's buy an old chariot on the way. I already have 33 stones with me right now," Mo Han said.

"What? No brother, don't waste your spirit stones on a chariot. You need them to improve your cultivation. Buying a chariot is like a beggar buying a golden plate to beg. So don't even think about it," Fatty said in a serious tone as he turned around to face Mo Han.

"Stop thinking too much, Fatty. Wealth will find the path of necessity. So let's buy a chariot on the way and think about our problems in the future," Mo Han declared and stopped Fatty from arguing.

With a reluctant look, Fatty agreed, as he was also feeling the frustration from walking slowly.

Their journey continued towards the nearest village on the way to the Pink Blossom Tree sect.
