The devastation that had befallen the village was not born of this moment alone. Rather, it was the culmination of the people's riot and their destruction of their own property. Fires still devoured some homes, shops were empty and shattered, and shards of broken glass littered the sandy roads. And now, the blue vapor began to cloak all this ruin, transforming the chaotic anarchy into an organized, devastating catastrophe

(Rin appears, looking up at the sky with eyes showing signs of pessimism and anxiety.)

"Simply put, so people wouldn't be harmed by the toxic radiation or the gas."
