Mega contacted a journalist named Selene Lames, one of the few reporters who hadn't sold out to the palace machine. They met in secret.
"I have proof,"Mega said. "But if I speak, I die."
Selene promised anonymity. Promised to protect her source.
The story was written. The headline was ready: "The Crown's Bloody Secret". But before it went live, the network was bought out—by a company linked to the Vellarian royal trust.
The story was buried. Selene disappeared.
Mega knew she was next.
