mom stepped forward to hold the sides of our face. I watched as her eyes turned red and sneaked a glance at Travis to see his face grim.
Being in similar situations in the past, we figured they won't be staying for a week even without her saying it .
" Your father and I will be leaving in the next two days .Sorry boys, we will try to work things out and wrap things up for good this time,"
I stared blankly at my mother, knowing fully well she didn't mean that .
Deciding to drop the topic, I nodded my head to express my understanding .
Feeling a slight ache in my chest I glanced at Travis who seemed like he expected it and isnt fazed anymore but deep down I knew that contrary to what people might think my twin is the soft one between us he just learnt from an early age not to show weakness to anyone that isn't me .
Perhaps feeling my gaze on him Travis looked up and rolled his eyes sarcastically towards me then literally fucking jumped to summer's seat to change the topic
" sooo any plans on where little sunshine over here gonna sleep?, if there's no plan I'll suggest my room dad " he said while reaching for summers hand as if to reassure her.
" super comfortable right ??" . he winked in dad's direction, which got me chuckling under my breath.
Dad muttered something about boys being trouble while striding forward to the stairs, " Your mom will take care of that, boys," he said over his shoulders as he left in the direction of his room .
All three of us turned our gaze to mom, awaiting her decision . " Don't yall look at me like that summer will stay in the west wing upstairs now I don't want yall trespassing give the girl some privacy now will you?".
" You boys go freshen up. I'll take summer to her room. Make sure to come down on time for dinner and Travis? don't make me drag you downstairs myself now. shuu, go wash up.".
the exhaustion from the day hits me like a train, I turned to my brother who responded with similar fatigue we bid summer and mom goodbye and went to get some rest cause to be candid I ain't sure I can get up for dinner .
this week has been really hectic in school with a lot of events to organize and competition coming up. Our annual school party will be taking place next month, so I gats to rest while I still can .
" she's pretty right??." Travis asked while we got to our room door, as our room was adjacent to each other.
"More like pretty hot, you mean ?? " I corrected while leaning on the door with a smirk on my face .
Travis face brightened immediately "so we get to fuck her?? "
"nah nobody's fucking anybody besides I have a feeling she's different I mean it bro don't fuck her behind my back. " I made sure to emphasize my point cause Travis doesn't bode well with instructions .
Travis narrowed his eyes while scrutinizing my facial expressions. " You're not planning on playing me, right?? why do I feel like you're plotting something ?."
"Seriously, all I'm saying is we get to know her. she's lost and trusts mom and dad to keep her safe while searching for her parents. we can't take advantage of her man??".
" Fine, but I'm not making any promises if she wants me. I ain't gonna refuse. who knows, I might help her heal. "
I shaked my head at his words and walked into my room heading straight to the shower for a nice bath and probably rub one off to the new face that's gonna dominate my dream for a while.
