Chapter 21 - blood on the crosswalk p2

blood on the Crosswalk (Part 2)

The stench of smoke and blood filled the cracked streets as the battle raged on. The government forces were relentless, pushing hard to crush the rebel district and snuff out the fire Cainen had lit. But every time they thought they had the upper hand, the Deadly Six—and Lilith—turned the tide.

Lilith's Chaos

She was everywhere at once—bat swinging, laughter echoing like a curse through the smoke. She moved with a twisted elegance, flipping over crates, spinning around stunned soldiers, her barbed wire bat cracking bone and skull alike.

"You want control?" Lilith hissed, eyes wild. "I'll give you chaos."

Her attack wasn't just physical—it was psychological warfare. Soldiers hesitated, unnerved by her unpredictable dance of death.

Tactical Fury

Cainen barked orders mid-fight, his fiery fists blazing a path through the armored ranks.

"Push them back! Protect the civilians!"

Rekka's shockwaves shattered barricades and sent enemies flying.

Kaito darted through the fray, striking hard and fast, his chain slicing with deadly precision.

The Turning Point

As dawn crept over the city, government reinforcements flooded in—helicopters roaring overhead, heavy artillery pounding the streets. The battle intensified.

Suddenly, a massive explosion rocked the eastern block. Cainen and his crew barely shielded themselves from the blast.

Stakes Rising

Despite the chaos, Cainen's resolve only hardened.

"They think this will stop us? They're dead wrong."

The district might burn, but its heart beat stronger than ever.
