Chapter 41 – Fallen Mother

Old Jiao's ugly appearance really shocked me and filled me with disgust. He squatted behind that tree, carefully hiding himself, afraid of being discovered. But he didn't know I had already spotted him, and even witnessed his disgusting actions. In one hand he held a cheap bottle of baijiu, and with the other he kept rubbing his crotch as if it were unbearably itchy, scratching and scratching in a way that made my skin crawl. I wanted to rush over and pin him to the ground and beat him up.

I didn't know why I hated him so much. Thinking it over, maybe it was because I'd seen him on the mountain road masturbating with that pair of panties. I just couldn't imagine an old man doing such a thing with a woman's underwear especially blue lace, the kind rural women couldn't afford.

It was like an arrow piercing my heart. I didn't want to think about it, but deep down, I seemed to have guessed something I didn't dare face.

"You filthy old man!" I gritted my teeth, fists clenched, veins standing out on my forehead. But I still didn't have the courage to confront him. After all, I was just a middle schooler, and even though Old Jiao was a dirty drunk, he was still an adult, and I might not win in a fight.

But that didn't stop me from hating and loathing him.

In the end, I found a more hidden spot to wait it was basically a chicken coop, with a big sheet of iron that had a hole just big enough for me to peek through. From there, I could see the village chief's house. Since Mom had gone inside, she hadn't come out again. I sat behind the iron sheet, peering through the hole, watching the door. I only saw a woman coming and going, but never Mom.

I could only wait.

I realized that if I met Mom now, she'd never let me off the hook. I'd snuck here in the dark last night and almost died. If Uncle Liu and Aunt Wang hadn't taken me in, I might not have survived. So I didn't dare let Mom know I was here I'd be in deep trouble.

Time ticked by. It was already evening, and as it got darker, I was still hiding behind the iron sheet. Mosquitoes buzzed around, biting me until I was miserable and itchy all over.

I glanced at the tree where Old Jiao had been, and to my shock, he was gone.

Where did he go?

…

The village chief's name was Liu Daquan, about fifty, with a son working out of town. His house was the best in the village, so Mom and her two assistants stayed there. Originally, County Chief Zou wanted to arrange for Mom to stay in the county, but it was too far and Mom insisted on staying in the village. So Zou sent over lots of fruit and meat, and the Liu family benefited.

I kept watch by the chicken coop, not knowing what was happening inside. Meanwhile, Mom had locked her room and was cleaning herself. In the countryside, conditions were poor. Bathing meant heating water and carrying it in a plastic bucket to the pigsty, or just bathing in the pond. Simple and rough.

After locking the door and drawing the curtains, Mom finally undressed. She wore a white blazer that hugged her curves, emphasizing her proud chest. Underneath was a white floral shirt, buttoned tight, her full breasts straining the fabric, almost bursting out. When she reached back to pin up her long black hair, her chest lifted even more, the curve deep and perfect.

She pinned up her hair in a style like a Japanese housewife, making her look even more mature and alluring. Her face was as beautiful as if carved from ice, breathtakingly so.

After pinning up her hair, she unbuttoned her shirt, finally freeing her breasts, which sprang out, round and full, held in by a black lace bra. She took off her shirt but kept the bra on.

Then she removed her white pants, bending over and sticking out her butt to pull them off. In that moment, her waist and hips formed a golden curve, the black lace panties clinging to her round cheeks, the white skin outside the edges like mutton fat, thick and firm, the curve of her butt at its most exaggerated and perfect.

With her tall figure and long legs, she was even more tempting from behind.

There was a bucket of clean water and a towel. Mom didn't take off her bra and panties, but sat on a small stool and wiped her body with the towel. After washing, she changed into a skirt, put on flesh-colored stockings to keep off mosquitoes, and wore black ankle boots. Carrying the bucket, she went out.

She didn't expect Liu Daquan to be waiting outside. As soon as she came out, he rushed up with a smile. "Oh, Deputy Mayor Su, how could I let you do such hard work? Just call me next time." He took the bucket from her, and as he accidentally touched her fingers, he shivered with excitement he'd touched the hand of the beautiful ice queen mayor! But it was just a fleeting moment. Mom didn't notice; to her, being touched was normal as long as boundaries weren't crossed.

"Chief Liu," Mom called as he was about to leave.

He put down the bucket and smiled. "What can I do for you?"

"I want to ask, where does that Old Jiao live?"

"Oh, I know! There's nothing in Lao Long Village I don't know!" he boasted, then frowned. "But why do you want to see him? He's a drunk, the least liked man in the village."

Mom said calmly, "I want to talk to him about some work."

He pretended to understand. "My wife's got dinner ready. Eat first, then I'll take you there, okay?"

Mom nodded she was hungry after a day on the mountain.

She went downstairs with Chief Liu. Her two assistants were already in the main room. She told them to prepare paper and pens to go with her to Old Jiao's house later. They had no objections.

Outside, I was still suffering the mosquitoes. I couldn't take it anymore and decided to sneak away to Aunt Wang's for something to eat.

I felt miserable coming all this way and not daring to see Mom, hiding behind a smelly chicken coop, getting bitten. But what else could I do? If Mom found out, I'd be in big trouble.

Just as I was about to leave, I saw the door open and several people come out Chief Liu with a flashlight, followed by a man, a woman, and a mature, icy woman Mom.

Where were they going?

I was curious but followed.

Country nights are very quiet. But if one dog starts barking, all the village dogs join in, making a racket. Chief Liu's flashlight attracted the dogs' attention, and soon the barking was deafening.

I trailed behind. The barking covered my tracks, so Mom and the others wouldn't notice me. I just hoped no dog would attack me I was terrified of dogs.

Luckily, we reached the edge of the village without incident. Up ahead, I could only see the flashlight beam my only guide in the darkness.

As long as the light was there, I wouldn't get lost. I sped up a bit.

Mountain weather is unpredictable, especially in a place surrounded by mountains like Lao Long Village. Soon after we left the village, lightning flashed without warning, scaring me so much I nearly slipped.

Yes, they were heading up the mountain, so I had to follow. I didn't understand why Mom wanted to go up the mountain at night, especially with rain coming.

Chief Liu led the way, slowing down to let Mom and her assistants keep up. The woman assistant was especially annoyed but dared not complain Mom could ruin her career if she did.

Mom, on the other hand, was calm, her breathing steady even on the steep path. She did yoga and ran regularly, so the climb was nothing for her.

Lightning flashed, briefly lighting up the night. The woman assistant finally couldn't help herself: "Mayor, it looks like it's about to rain. Maybe we should wait until tomorrow?"

Mom replied, "If you don't want this job, you can leave now."

The assistant was silenced.

Chief Liu heard and dared not speak, but his mind was racing. Why did the mayor want to visit that filthy drunk Old Jiao? Did she know something? That wouldn't do! He worried Old Jiao might spill some secret that would cost him his job.

But he wouldn't dare do anything with two assistants present. Since Mom arrived, she'd been cold and authoritative, intimidating even the county chief.

Thunder rumbled, and then it started to pour. The assistants panicked. Chief Liu said, "Deputy Mayor, it's raining. Shouldn't we head back?"

Mom asked coldly, "How far is it?"

"About a hundred or two hundred meters."

"Then hurry up!"

Chief Liu was annoyed but kept going. In his mind, he thought that if something happened on a rainy mountain path, it wouldn't be his fault…

…

The rain pounded my face. I cursed the weather. Why didn't Mom turn back in this downpour? What was so important up there?

But since she kept going, so would I.

The rain got heavier, stinging my eyes. Suddenly, I realized I couldn't see the flashlight anymore. Panic set in.

Mom!

I don't know where the courage came from, but I rushed up the mountain, not caring if Mom saw me. I just wanted to find her.

In the pouring rain, I could barely see. The path was muddy and slippery; I fell several times, getting mud in my mouth. But I kept going, thinking only of Mom.

Suddenly, I heard a woman scream. I searched for the source but found nothing. I kept climbing.

Finally, I saw a faint light ahead a beacon of hope. I hurried toward it and reached a brick house on the mountain. The door was open, light spilling out.

Relieved, I was about to enter when everything went black I lost consciousness.

Damn!

That was my last thought before I passed out.

I dreamed a bad dream. In it, an ugly old man grinned at me, yellow teeth showing. I hated him, but he kept coming closer, no matter how I shouted or waved my arms.

Then I heard a woman's voice: "Fan Fan… Fan Fan…" She was patting my face.

The image of Old Jiao faded, and I opened my eyes to see a familiar face Mom.

Her skin was like jade, brows sharp, nose delicate, lips red and moist, cheeks rosy, her eyes full of concern.

"Mom!" I cried, leaping into her arms, feeling a deep sense of safety despite the storm outside.

She stroked my back, making me feel like a real child again.

After a while, I calmed down and noticed Mom's clothes were soaked. I sat up and looked at her.

She wore a blue blouse, her chest straining against the wet fabric, the outline of her bra visible, her curves on full display. Her black hair, usually pinned up, now hung wet over her shoulders, adding to her mature allure.

The dim light made her look even more beautiful.

Suddenly, her expression turned cold and stern. After the joy and relief, I knew I was in for a scolding.

I lowered my head and confessed, "Mom, I… I was wrong…"

But to my surprise, she just sighed, stroked my head, and said gently, "Don't do it again."

I was stunned she forgave me? No beating? Not even a scolding?

Her gentleness left me at a loss, but also made me happy.

"Okay, I promise, I won't do it again!" I said firmly.

I looked around the small, old room, the furniture all ancient and musty. The smell made me wrinkle my nose.

Just then, a familiar voice called from outside: "Oh dear, it's leaking here too! The house is flooding how am I supposed to live?"

I was stunned. Mom got up and went outside, leaving me on the bed.

I noticed the sheets were moldy and the room stank. Mosquitoes buzzed everywhere. I got up and went to the door.

Through the doorway, I saw an old man bustling around the main room. He wore a faded work shirt, linen pants rolled up, and straw sandals he looked simple enough if you didn't know better.

Old Jiao was busy catching drips from the leaking roof, placing basins and jars everywhere. The brick-and-tile house leaked badly in the storm.

Suddenly, there was a crash. Mom, standing by a table, slipped and nearly fell. Old Jiao, barefoot, rushed over.

"Mayor, are you okay? You can't get hurt if something happens, I'll be in trouble!"

Mom glanced back at him. "I'm fine, just slipped. Don't worry."

"How can I not worry? You're a big official. If something happens, I'll be blamed."

Mom smiled. "Don't worry, you'll be fine. Go on with your work I'm really okay."

She spoke gently, treating him like any old man.

But as she tried to leave, the floor was too slippery. As she let go of the table, she lost her balance and fell backward.

My heart leapt into my throat. I was about to rush out, but Old Jiao caught her, stopping me in my tracks.

If I ran out now, I might slip too. And it would only embarrass Mom more.

So I watched as Old Jiao held her steady, relieved.

But then, unexpectedly, Old Jiao also lost his balance and fell, pulling Mom down with him. She didn't land on the floor, but on his lap.

No not his lap, but his crotch!

My eyes widened in shock. Mom's round, perky butt was sitting right on Old Jiao's crotch.

I was stunned, breath quickening, wanting to rush out but knowing it would only make things worse for Mom.

Drip, drip, drip… Rain fell through the leaky roof, the storm outside making the house feel like a warm nest.

And in that nest, an old man and an ice queen were pressed together… To be precise, the ice queen was sitting on the old man's crotch, her firm butt pressing on his most private part.

If the old man were handsome, it might be tolerable, but he was ugly, with yellow teeth a disgusting sight.

I watched helplessly, praying Mom would get up, but things did not go as I hoped.

In the dim light, Old Jiao sat on the floor, still holding Mom's waist, his knees bent to keep his balance. A dining table blocked most of the light and my view, but I could just make out the expression on Old Jiao's ugly face.

His chest pressed against Mom's smooth back, his head beside her ear, chin on her shoulder, her black hair brushing his face so he could smell her fragrance. He was entranced.

Old Jiao, a lifelong drunk and bachelor, had never been close to a woman. Now, pressed against such a beautiful, mature woman, he was in heaven, his body tense, his breath rapid, a fire burning in his belly.

His penis was harder than ever in his life, straining his pants, the tip pressing into Mom's firm, elastic butt, sweat pouring down his face as if he were on fire.
