After being caught exposed having sex in the kitchen Olaf naturally assumed like everyone else that he would have been stripped of his position even though he was the most qualified.
For Robin to forgive him and overlook something that would have gotten him fired in disgrace back in his homeland he resolved to do better and make Robin proud of him.
"I'm thankful for the opportunity young master," replied Olaf with head bowed slightly out of respect.

As for the rest of you now that the evening meal prep is underway this is just the beginning to ensure that after the meal is served that the cauldrons are emptied and scoured, the contents properly disposed of to avoid attracting insects and rats. Just to be reminded Olaf I believe that reusing the pots without washing them until months later only brings sickness and poor health. Please discontinue that practice immediately."
