"Robin, I thought you were smarter than this," Andras whispered in his ears from behind, "are you deliberately trying to get yourself killed!"
Andras saw tears streaming down Robin's face as he tried to break free from Andras' grasp but the more he struggled the tighter Andras' grip on his entire body became.
They both watched as the knife that Robin was determined to sink into the fat merchant's skull dropped to the ground.
"You have to save him," cried Robin.
"We will," replied Andras as he turned Robin around comfortingly and deliberately blocking his sight.
Blocking Robin's sight from the long line of hardened warriors waiting to have their turn with the half fairy when the old goblin merchant was done.
Robin's tears soaked through Andras' shirt and his anger started to boil on behalf of his husband but common sense prevailed.
