Chapter 2 - Chapter 2.2, Flower of Nohara

"Miss Rin."

Looking at the maid who came to serve the tea, Nohara Rin felt a little at a loss. She stood up in embarrassment to return the salute, but the other party did not look at her and bowed and left.

The emptiness of the huge living room made her extremely uncomfortable. There was a rustling speech inside, and it was her teacher talking to Hiashi's boss.

Rin picked up the teacup and sipped it, looking around aimlessly.

He saved his companions in the village on the battlefield, but he seemed to be involved in some trouble, so much so that the teacher came to stand up for him.

Fortunately, the Hyuga family entertained her very politely every time they invited her and did not embarrass her except to ask some detailed questions about what happened at that time.

When her thoughts were in turmoil, she suddenly caught a glimpse of an extra figure at the door.

The courtyard was noisy during the day, and the sun slanted into the living room. This man was standing at the junction of light and darkness. The thin outline of his face could be seen in the dim backlight.

The Hyuga family seems to look pretty...

She thought inexplicably in her heart that the pair of white eyes she had seen several times in the future had made her face blind.

But who this man was, she remembered very well.

"It's you."

Rin put down the teacup and stood up quickly.

While performing a mission to search for the missing reconnaissance unit, she and Kakashi only found Hyuga Makoto, who was blind, seriously injured, and dying, and all the rest of the team died in the line of duty.

At that time, close to the edge of Iwanin's garrison camp, there was a risk of being discovered by the enemy at any time. Hyuga Shin told her and Kakashi that if she didn't want to return with a blind burden, she would change his eyes.

The impression of this person was that he was taken back to the village. Although Rin came to the Hyuga clan several times, she never saw him again, even though she came because of him every time.

"How's your body doing?" When Rin looked at this person, her eyes couldn't help but stay at his eyes for an extra second.

The dark eyes were deep and silent, seemingly ordinary, but when they appeared on a person from the Hyuga family, they were very inconsistent.

"Getting healed almost."

"Eyes... Are you still used to it?"

"Well, you can see everything."

"That's good."

Rin had only performed two eye changes, both under critical circumstances. Her technology and equipment were imperfect, and she was worried about what sequelae would be left for Hyuga.

"Thank you for doing this," Hyuga Makoto said.

"You came here just to thank me again?" Rin laughed and felt that this person was quite upright.

"Have you thanked me before? Besides, one of our village companions, it is my duty to save you."

"This is important to me," Hyuga truly said.

Rin was a little embarrassed: "You... don't pay too much attention."

Hyuga Shinya stopped talking about this matter and instead said, "I heard that Mr. Minato is here."

Rin nodded: "The teacher is talking to Mr. Hiashi."

"It seems that I am lucky enough to meet Lord Minato."

Rin smiled; her teacher had many admirers, and she was accustomed to this.

The two chatted for a few words, and suddenly a sound came out. It was Hiashi Hyuga and Namikaze Minato who came out together.

The smile on Hiashi's face was very friendly, which was very different from what he had seen in the past. Then he also saw the future fourth-generation Hokage, a slender, handsome young man with blond hair.

"Teacher." Rin immediately spoke out and greeted Hiashi Hyuga at the same time, "Mr. Hiashi."

Hyuga Makoto stood aside and bowed slightly without speaking.

"The war on the front line is stalemate, and you have to rely on Minato to lead us."

"With Lord Hokage here, we will definitely win."

Hiashi glanced at the two people in the living room and saw Hyuga Makoto wearing a forehead protector today.

Then he looked at Rin again and suddenly smiled and said: "Miss Rin was invited here just to understand the situation at that time and to carry out follow-up treatment. Unexpectedly, you even made a special trip to Minato for this. It seems that we treated Miss Rin poorly."

Minato also smiled and said: "Mr. Hiashi is so polite. I am also worried that Rin will bump into you."

Hiashi said: "Miss Rin is a very good medical ninja, and many of our tribe admire her very much."

Rin was a little flattered when she heard this.

"We'll take our leave now," Minato bowed slightly.

"Makoto, see you two out," Hiashi said with a smile.

Leaving the living room, the three walked along the pavilion corridor toward the gate.

Hyuga's courtyard is large, and you can see rockery flowing water, green ponds, clear sunlight, and shadows on the rocks.

"You are Hyuga Makoto," Minato thought to himself and took the initiative to chat with the young man beside him.

"Yes, Lord Minato."

"You don't have to be so formal. Thanks to your intelligence, we had a very important victory," Minato chuckled.

"The intelligence was not obtained by me alone, but was the credit of the entire reconnaissance force."

Minato was slightly startled, touched by what he said, nodded and said, "You are right."

Then he sighed: "The situation must have been very dangerous at that time."

Hyuga Shinji said: "It's all for the village. Isn't it just for one of the students of the senior Minato?"

These words aroused the silence of the two people around him, and Hyuga Makoto caught a glimpse of Rin hanging her head sadly.

Not long after, I heard Minato's words again: "No one will die in vain."

His voice was calm and powerful, and his expression was resolute, as if he was promising something.

Hyuga Makoto continued without changing his face: "What Senior Minato said is that every dead compatriot is a hero of the village, and their will will guide us forward."

Minato was slightly surprised to hear such high-sounding words, and couldn't help but take one more look at Hyuga Shin.

"It's amazing that you have such an awareness."

Hyuga Makoto said: "It was my sacrificial teammates who gave me some warnings. I also want to be the person who rushed to the front line for the village like Senior Minato. It's a pity that the clan asked me to stay in the village temporarily to recuperate. If only I could fight with Senior Minato." It's fine."

Minato smiled and said: "Since you have not recovered yet, you should rest in peace. The survival of young people like you is also a contribution to the village, and the power of your Hyuga clan is very special and of great significance to the village."

Hyuga Makoto's eyes moved slightly and he said, "Senior Minato said so."

When they arrived at the gate of the Hyuga clan, they watched the two of them leave, and their expressions became calm.

Rejected... It was also expected. How could he accept his wishful request? He was not a passionate idiot like Naruto.

After Minato and Rin stayed away from the Hyuga clan, Rin couldn't help but say to the teacher: "Shin-kun is also a very good person."

Maybe each other's teammates died, which made Rin feel a little sympathetic to him.

Minato was noncommittal and just smiled and said, "Stop interacting with him."
