Chapter 10 - Ibrahim’s Curiosity

Chapter Ten – Ibrahim's Curiosity

When Ibrahim heard the loud knocking at the door, he suddenly remembered his call with Umm Adam. He rushed to the door and opened it, and there stood Adam and his father.

Adam's father, with a look of relief upon seeing Ibrahim at home, said:

– "Did you find him?"

Ibrahim nodded and replied:

– "Yes, I found him."

When Adam's father heard that, it was as though a great weight had lifted off his shoulders. He said with a sincere tone:

– "I'm sorry. If he hadn't stayed at our place so long, he wouldn't have been lost in the darkness. We should've walked him back when we saw the sun had set."

Yes, this is what Adam and his family assumed: that "Unknown" had lost his way home because it was dark, and the street lights were malfunctioning due to technical issues. Such cases happened occasionally, but parents usually found their children quickly, since they all lived relatively close. By simply tracing the path the child would logically take, there was a very high chance they would find them. That's why Adam and his father relaxed when they saw Ibrahim at home—it meant "Unknown" couldn't have wandered far.

Ibrahim invited them inside, but Adam's father politely declined, saying that now that they'd confirmed "Unknown" was safe, there was nothing more to be done. They bid Ibrahim farewell and asked him to greet "Unknown" on their behalf, then returned to their home.

Ibrahim closed the door and returned to "Unknown's" room.

He said to him:

– "I've become curious about that punch you described... Show it to me."

"Unknown" stood up and, with ease and fluid motion, executed the punch perfectly. Ibrahim was astonished by the form and precision of the movement. It strongly resembled the technique mentioned in the article "Why Trainers Outperform Young Boxers Despite Their Age", and this was exactly what he had just witnessed.

So Ibrahim asked:

– "Have you seen this technique before?"

"Unknown" replied:

– "No. But I somehow felt it was the best way for me to deal the most damage to my enemy."

When "Unknown" said this, Ibrahim remembered that indeed, this was considered the most effective method to channel the body's full strength into a single powerful strike. Since humans have a fixed physical strength, the true measure of power lies in who can extract the most of it in each moment—and knows how to use it properly.

As Ibrahim thought about this, he looked at "Unknown", wondering: If he really came up with that on his own for this situation... what would he invent for another? Should I tell him that or…?

When he recalled all the strange things happening around "Unknown", he couldn't help but swallow the words he was about to say.

But little did he know…

Tomorrow, something else entirely would occur.

Something quite… interesting.
