"Because Rias once said, demons are creatures who follow their own desires. So right now, this is my desire—my thought."
Xenovia looked at Yoru, her face showing a brightness never seen before. It was clear she wasn't lying.
"But… why…?"
Yoru still couldn't understand—when exactly did Xenovia start liking him?
"What's so strange about it? It's a woman's nature to like strong and excellent men. Just like how females choose strong males to breed the next generation—it's instinct. I chose you and want to have a child with you. Is that not allowed?"
Xenovia said it as if it was the most natural thing in the world, making the corner of Yoru's mouth twitch.
It obviously sounded wrong, but somehow… not entirely incorrect either.
"There's a big problem here! A girl should be more reserved! Xenovia, you're being way too much!"
While Yoru was struggling to figure out exactly where the problem was, Irina suddenly hit the nail on the head.
"What's with that? We're demons, you know. Demons are supposed to be a little lewd, especially toward the ones they like. What's wrong with that?"
Xenovia continued speaking nonchalantly, her words leaving both Irina and Asia speechless, unable to think of a counterargument.
Yoru scratched his head in frustration. He had figured out the root of the problem—Xenovia's values had become rather questionable.
Originally, as the Church's Holy Sword wielder, she had strictly adhered to rules and discipline. But after suddenly becoming a demon, it was natural for her to rebel against all those restrictions. However, Xenovia's rebellion was far too extreme—she had completely denied all of her former values.
Having skewed values as a human was concerning, but as a demon… it didn't seem all that wrong.
Yoru scratched his head again, then quickly changed the topic.
"Anyway, time's a little tight. Have you decided where to start sightseeing?"
"We're not going with the others. The three of us will just follow you, Yoru. Let's go to Kyoto Tower first!" Irina said excitedly.
"Mm, forming a group of four isn't a bad idea," Xenovia nodded, clearly not having given up on her thoughts.
"I'm fine with whatever, as long as you've planned it out. Just don't complain later about not having time to see certain places."
"Okay then, let's start with Kyoto Tower!"
"That kind of place should obviously be saved for the last day! We should visit the famous temples first!" Xenovia immediately retorted.
Yoru chuckled at the two girls' bickering, when suddenly the announcement came over the speakers.
"Attention passengers, we are now arriving at Kyoto Station. Please prepare to disembark. I repeat…"
"Hm? We're here?"
Hearing the announcement, Asia's eyes lit up with excitement, while Irina and Xenovia were still arguing.
"Temples first!"
"Kyoto Tower first!"
Their familiar voices continued.
"Seriously… you two are still arguing?"
Yoru shook his head with a wry smile, taking Asia's hand as they prepared to get off. Seeing Asia's shy expression, both Irina and Xenovia abruptly stopped quarreling and stared at her with mixed expressions.
So he beat us to it.
Hmph. Fine, a temporary truce then.
Better to avoid letting a third party benefit.
With just a glance at each other, the two girls reached an unspoken agreement and followed behind Yoru and Asia off the train.
The Shinkansen came to a stop at the platform, and the excited students began disembarking under the teachers' guidance. Once the crowd had mostly cleared, Yoru leisurely led the three girls off the train.
"Ah, it's Kyoto Tower!" someone in the student group called out. Immediately, everyone turned to look, Yoru included.
Upon arriving at Kyoto Station, everyone was in high spirits—even Xenovia's eyes sparkled with interest.
Kyoto's iconic landmark, the tall Kyoto Tower, was clearly visible right from the station.
"See? We should go there first! It's right in front of us—how can we not conquer it now?"
"Exactly because it's so prominent, and you can see it from anywhere else we go, that's why it should be saved for last," Xenovia said seriously.
"Alright, alright. Let's just go to the temples first," Yoru quickly stepped in before the two could start another round.
"Eh?! How can you side with her!" Irina protested unhappily.
Meanwhile, after the students took a few casual, unskilled photos, they followed the organizers to the arranged lodging—the Kyoto Sirzechs Hotel.
What made Yoru want to laugh the most was that right next to the luxurious hotel, the Kyoto Serafall Inn was under construction.
The Demon King of the Underworld opening a hotel in the human world's Kyoto… If that's the case, there were probably countless other establishments across the country owned by the Four Great Maou.
No wonder someone with Serafall's personality could become a Maou—it suddenly made a lot of sense.
Yoru was also somewhat familiar with the Gremory family's businesses. They had all kinds of facilities scattered across the human world, and in this mysterious ancient city of Kyoto, they operated quite a few places. The Kyoto Sirzechs Hotel was just one of them.
But really… naming a hotel after yourself? Wasn't that embarrassing? Yoru would never do such a thing.
Once inside, the students were stunned by the grandeur and elegance of the lobby and its furnishings. Many Kuoh Academy students came from ordinary families, so booking such a luxurious hotel room at a low price was a delightful surprise.
Of course, this was thanks to Rias. Since it was her family's hotel, she had booked the rooms for the lower-year students at a huge discount.
The main goal, however, was to make sure Yoru and his group stayed comfortably and had fun. The other students simply benefited as a bonus.
