Chapter 7 - Bobby charlson

James asks, "Did you say the perpetrator used a Glock 17?" Charlson nods. James replies, "Could it be that the devil is human?" Sir Charlson says, "Yes, I thought so too. The truth is, the devil is among us. He's a wolf disguised as a sheep."

Sir Charlson takes a sip of his coffee and says, "Shall I tell you how I became a police officer, James?" James nods. Charlson takes another sip of his coffee and then begins to tell his story. "When I was 6, my father was shot after a bank robbery. He worked in the bank. Ever since then, I've wanted to be a police officer. I sacrificed everything just to become a police officer. At 15, I began my police training. At 18, I became a police officer. At just 27, I became the police chief. That was the moment I started living."

Finally, the two of them finished their coffee and the waitress came to their table and cleared it. She asked, "How did you like your coffee, gentlemen?" Charlson replied, "Yes, it was delicious, wasn't it, James." Charlson looked at James. James replied, "Yes, the coffee tasted fantastic." The waitress thanked him, "I'm glad you enjoyed it." Charlson looked at the waitress and asked, "How much did it cost?" She answers and says "10 pounds please." Charlson gives her the money and says "Here you are, have a nice day." The waitress says "You too." James and Charlson leave the cafe and after a while they reach the police station again. James says "Bye Charlson, see you soon." Charlson says "Goodbye, but one more thing: we will destroy the devil together, do you hear?" James answers "Yes, I promise, we will kill the monster together, I promise." Charlson says "Good, then, see you soon." James leaves the building and goes home. He greets his mother and they start to eat. There is bratwurst. James says "It tastes good, mum." She says "Thank you, son." After eating, James goes to bed and before he falls asleep, he asks himself one thing: what is the devil thinking? Then he falls asleep.
