I blinked as my mind processed his one-word reply, aka, warning.
My throat thickened, every breath suddenly harder to take. My eyes started to burn.
I clenched my hands, turning them into fists, trying to control this overwhelming feeling, but I knew I could not hold it for long.
I gulped down the lump formed in my throat and made it somehow to speak, "Wash.. room.. please."
Sophie's eyes widened, and the next moment she stood up holding my hand. She walked in one direction as I kept following her.
From the back, Edward's worried voice came, but it faded at the same speed. Sophie almost pushed me into the bathroom, closing the door behind me. Then her voice echoed from the other side, "Call me if you need anything."
The tears that were at the edge of my waterline now started to fall off my eyes.
