Chapter 25 - Chapter 25: Krillin’s Lottery Draw, Piccolo Volunteers as Substitute

"This service is now complete. If you ever need help from the Thug Group again, make sure to give me priority. My name is Krillin."

The mission had concluded, and there was no longer any reason to remain in the One Piece world. After bidding farewell to Whitebeard, Krillin chose to return to his own world. A familiar portal shimmered into view, radiating with the same otherworldly energy as before.

Without hesitation, Krillin stepped into the portal and vanished.

His departure triggered yet another wave of astonishment across the world he left behind. Many still couldn't process what they had witnessed—an outsider, not from their world, had just changed the tide of history.

Back in the Dragon Ball World

Krillin emerged from the portal and returned to the Dragon Ball universe, where the Thug Group's base of operations resided. The moment he arrived, he opened the group chat and posted excitedly.

Krillin: "Everyone, I'm back! Mission complete! Not only that—I received five-star ratings for both tasks!"

Master Roshi (Turtle Hermit): "Well done, Krillin! You completed the hidden mission too, didn't you? So, what were the rewards? Did your strength really double like the rumors say?"

Krillin: "Yep! It's true! My strength has literally doubled—it's unbelievable!"

The announcement sparked envy among many members of the group. A direct doubling of strength was no small feat.

Characters like Vegeta, Beerus, and others couldn't help but grumble. From their perspective, giving such an incredible reward to someone like Krillin seemed like a waste.

If that kind of reward had gone to them—a Saiyan prince or a God of Destruction—the results would have been astronomical!

The stronger the recipient, the greater the return on investment, after all.

In their minds, giving Krillin such a reward was like handing a treasure to someone who couldn't use it to its full potential. But of course, this was just sour grapes. Deep down, they were frustrated because the opportunity had gone to someone else.

With Krillin now back and the live stream officially ended, Goku and the others were curious about what came next.

But Jack, the mysterious admin of the Thug Group, already had an inkling of the implications.

Even though Jack wasn't deeply familiar with every detail of the One Piece universe, he knew enough to grasp the gravity of the events that had just occurred. In the original timeline, Whitebeard was supposed to die in the epic Marineford War, and his powerful Devil Fruit—the Gura Gura no Mi—was to be stolen by Blackbeard. This would have led to the disbanding of the Whitebeard Pirates and a complete shift in the world's power dynamics.

But this time, everything had changed.

Akainu—the admiral who was supposed to survive—was the one who died. Whitebeard, on the other hand, not only survived but was fully healed. He was stronger and healthier than before.

That meant Blackbeard would no longer have the chance to seize the Gura Gura no Mi. In fact, there was a good chance that Whitebeard himself would now hunt down Blackbeard for his betrayal.

The death of an admiral was a heavy blow to the Navy's prestige. Even if a replacement could be found, Akainu's loss would shake confidence in their power structure.

The ripple effects were massive.

Jack, however, wasn't overly emotional about Akainu's death. He simply found it intriguing.

Many fans hated Akainu for killing Ace and nearly killing Whitebeard. But if you looked at it from another angle—from the perspective of the Navy and countless civilians—Akainu was a hero who upheld justice.

So why did so many hate him?

Simple. Because the story was called One Piece.

If it were called Navy King, Akainu might be one of the most beloved characters. Context mattered.

Still, Akainu's fate was unfortunate. He happened to be the one standing against the pirates when the mission was triggered. If someone from the Navy had triggered the mission instead, things might've gone differently.

Whitebeard might have been the one to die.

Krillin, and the Thug Group in general, weren't biased toward any side. They only cared about the mission. Once accepted, they would complete it—regardless of who the target was. Neutrality and fairness were their creed.

The Exciting Moment: Lottery Time!

Goku: "Hey, Krillin! Didn't you earn two lottery draws from the mission? Let us see what you get! Maybe you'll pull something incredible!"

Master Roshi: "Yes, show us! You never know—if you get something amazing, your power might skyrocket again!"

Krillin: "Alright, alright! Since everyone's curious, I'll go ahead and do my first draw."

Even Krillin himself was looking forward to it. The lottery system from the Thug Group had always been full of surprises. Whether it gave rare skills, powerful artifacts, or even just points, it was always exciting.

But Krillin knew the truth—drawing something good wasn't easy. Unless you had the luck of an emperor, the results were often average.

Jack, monitoring everything from his interface, was equally curious. He didn't believe the system would intentionally increase the odds just because Krillin had done well. Luck still played the biggest role.

Suddenly, a clear notification rang out.

"Ding! Congratulations to Thug Krillin for winning 200,000 points!"

Krillin's eyes lit up for a moment, but then he calmed down.

Krillin: "200,000 points. Eh, not bad, not great either. It's decent."

The reward didn't blow his mind, but he wasn't disappointed. At least it wasn't a dud.

Adding the 200,000 points from the lottery to his existing balance, Krillin now had a total of 800,000 points.

It sounded like a lot, but for those who knew the Thug Group shop, 800,000 points were still far from enough to buy top-tier items. Some of the best artifacts and techniques required millions of points.

Still, it was a nice step forward.

Goku: "You still have one more draw left! Want to spin again?"

Master Roshi: "Don't wait too long. Luck doesn't usually improve with time—strike while the iron is hot!"

Piccolo: "Wait. Let's be honest—drawing 200,000 points in the first round isn't exactly great luck. Maybe you should let someone else try the second draw for you."

Everyone turned to look at Piccolo, curious where he was going with this.

Piccolo: "I'll volunteer. If I draw something good, just give me 100,000 points as a reward. If I don't, you don't owe me anything."

The offer made everyone blink in surprise. Piccolo wasn't usually the type to make such casual bets. But apparently, even the stoic Namekian was drawn in by the lure of rare items.

Krillin chuckled. "So now we're outsourcing luck?"

Piccolo: "Why not? Maybe I've got better luck than you."

Krillin thought for a moment. It wasn't a bad idea. He had nothing to lose, and if Piccolo really did pull something rare, 100,000 points would be a fair reward.

Krillin: "Alright, Piccolo. You're on. Let's see if your Namekian luck is better than mine."

Everyone leaned in eagerly as Piccolo stepped forward to activate the second lottery draw.

Jack, watching through the admin panel, smiled slightly. He always found these moments entertaining. The group's camaraderie and competitiveness kept things lively.

Piccolo placed his finger on the draw button.

"Ding! Lottery draw in progress…"
