With a cold gaze, Liam stared at the people kneeling before him and observed their movements.
He then noticed that the vice-captain of the guards was cautiously inspecting the hall, as if he were looking for something.
Liam was puzzled by his actions and wondered,
'What is he doing? Does he think there's someone secretly protecting me?'
A small smile appeared on his face, and he sneered,
'Well, that's expected. They won't believe that I simply returned like this.'
Although he wasn't 100% sure of his assumptions, they were the most likely ones.
In his view, it was impossible for anyone to accept that he had become so strong in just one week.
If he were in their place, he wouldn't believe it either.
'Wait, if I really make them believe that a powerful person is protecting me, I'll be able to impose my authority on them without having to reveal my true strength.'
His smile widened, and he felt great excitement. He liked his idea.
