Chapter 47 - Intelligent race?

As he walked toward the forest, Liam noticed that the ground beneath him had regained its natural color; it was no longer a shade of black.

The air around him had also become a bit purer and less toxic.

This surprised him. Curious, he bent down, grabbed a handful of soil, and checked it.

As he expected, he found that the soil's toxicity level had also dropped significantly.

He frowned in confusion, looking at the forest only a few yards away and thinking,

'This place seems a little too natural. It doesn't make sense for a forest like this to exist in the middle of this desolate, dead world.'

A strange expression crossed his face, and he raised his guard.

He slowly walked toward the forest, and as soon as he entered it, he felt a strange, mysterious magical aura envelop his body.

His eyes widened, and he instinctively took a step back.

But he quickly regained his composure and stopped, realizing that the strange magical aura wasn't malicious or hostile.
