Inside his personal dimension, time had flowed differently.

To the outside world, a mere week had passed. But here, beneath the endless golden sky of his secluded realm, an entire month had gone by.

A soft breeze carried the scent of wildflowers through the open courtyard. The air shimmered faintly with pure energy—his energy—infused into every corner of this place. It was a sanctuary, a training ground, and lately… a home.

The girls were seated in deep meditation. Their auras, once unstable and leaking like untamed rivers, were now calm yet potent—compressed storms beneath still waters. The change was undeniable.

He stood with his arms folded, a faint smile tugging at his lips.

"They've come far…" he thought. "Faster than anyone should, but still… their real paths are yet to be found."

It was true. For most beings, finding their Path to Godhood could take decades, centuries, even millennia. But his girls had only been walking that road for a month here, and already their grasp over themselves, their powers, and their techniques had deepened beyond what most mortals could dream.

A shift in the air caught his attention as Yasaka's eyes slowly opened. Golden irises glimmered under the sunlight, her aura pulsing once before she released a controlled breath.

"How's our progress?" Yasaka asked softly, brushing a loose strand of hair from her cheek.

He chuckled. "Better than I expected. Your control over your ki is sharp. You've almost erased the excess leakage entirely."

"Almost?" Yasaka's lips curved into a teasing smile. "That sounds like you still see room for improvement."

"There's always room," he said, his voice calm but warm. "Even I still have it."

Akeno's eyes fluttered open next, and she stretched languidly, her raven hair falling down her shoulders like silk. "Mmm… I'm surprised you haven't gotten bored watching us meditate for hours on end."

"Who said I was watching the whole time?" he smirked.

She raised a brow, smiling knowingly. "Oh? Then what were you doing instead?"

"Making sure none of you explode from pushing too hard," he replied, deadpan.

That earned a giggle from Kunou, who was sitting on a cushion off to the side, nibbling on a plate of dango. Her little fox ears twitched happily. "I didn't explode, and I've been eating this whole time!"

"You're not training, Kunou," Rias teased from her position, finally opening her eyes. Her crimson hair swayed as she rose to her feet. "Though… your appetite might be its own kind of endurance training."

Kunou puffed her cheeks. "Food is important for cultivation too! Right, Onii-chan?"

He looked over at her and nodded solemnly. "She's right. A hungry cultivator is a dead cultivator."

Rias rolled her eyes. "Enabler."

Koneko finally stood, her expression as flat as ever, though her eyes carried a quiet spark of satisfaction. "My strikes are faster now. Stronger too. But I can't tell if it's enough."

"It's not," he said bluntly, but with no malice. "And that's fine. Your growth is steady. But raw speed and power aren't your path. You need to figure out why you fight and how you want your power to be used."

Koneko's ears twitched faintly at that, and though she didn't reply, he knew she was thinking about it.

Yasaka stood and approached him, her tails swaying behind her. "You keep talking about our 'paths'… but can't you just tell us what they are?"

He met her gaze, his smile fading into something more serious. "If I tell you, it's not your path—it's mine. You have to find it yourselves. That's the point."

The others fell silent at that, though the weight of his words settled in the air.

It had been like this for the past month—days filled with meditation, sparring matches fierce enough to shake the ground, and… other nightly "activities" that left them all just as breathless as the battles. Every night, after the sweat and strain of training, they shared moments of closeness that blurred the line between comrades and lovers. And while it didn't necessarily make them stronger in a technical sense, it did make their bonds unshakable.

"Speaking of sparring," Akeno's voice took on a playful lilt, "I think it's my turn to challenge you again."

He raised a brow. "Didn't you lose last time in under two minutes?"

Her smile didn't waver. "Yes. And this time I'll last three."

Yasaka laughed softly. "Ambitious."

Rias stepped forward. "Then maybe I should go first. I want to test something I've been working on."

"Form a line," he said casually, but there was a glint of amusement in his eyes. "I'll take you all on at once if you're feeling brave."

That earned a collective spark of excitement from them—until Kunou piped up between bites of her snack. "Can I join?"

"No," came the immediate chorus from everyone else.

Kunou pouted, hugging her plate protectively. "Hmph. Fine."

Before they could begin, however, his expression shifted slightly. He turned his gaze toward the far horizon, beyond the mountains and golden clouds of this world.

"What is it?" Yasaka asked, instantly noticing his change in demeanor.

"…Nothing concrete," he murmured. "Just thinking."

He had not forgotten about Vorath's fragments—the vile remnants of that ancient enemy. Every few days, he'd leave the girls to their training and scour existence itself, tearing through corrupted pockets of reality and purging the rot wherever it hid. But despite the month of searching, he had found nothing—no trace, no lingering essence. It was as if the fragments had been wiped clean from the tapestry of creation.

Even now, he remembered the sensation of ripping apart a tainted narrative—a story corrupted down to its bones, twisting reality into something wrong. The act of destroying them was almost cleansing… but it was also frustrating.

"If I didn't know better," he muttered to himself, "I'd think they were hiding outside creation entirely."

Rias tilted her head. "What are you talking about?"

"Fragments of IT," he said plainly. "I've been looking. Nothing so far."

That made Yasaka's ears twitch. "You've been searching during all this? You didn't say anything."

"Didn't need to," he replied. "Until I find one, it's not your concern."

"Everything concerning you is our concern," Akeno said firmly, stepping closer. "Don't keep us in the dark."

He glanced at her, and for a moment, his expression softened. "…Alright. Next time I leave to search, I'll tell you."

"Good."

Koneko crossed her arms. "Then hurry up and train with us. Talking won't make us stronger."

That earned a faint laugh from him. "Alright then. Show me what you've learned."

The next hour was a whirlwind of movement. The girls came at him from all sides—Rias with refined bursts of destruction energy, Yasaka weaving golden foxfire through the air, Akeno raining lightning like a storm goddess, and Koneko closing in with bone-crushing blows.

They didn't win. Not even close. But they lasted longer, hit harder, and adapted faster than they had a month ago. By the time they collapsed to the grass, sweat-drenched and panting, he was smiling again.

"You're getting there," he said simply.

Yasaka smirked tiredly. "One of these days, we'll make you take this seriously."

He looked down at them, eyes glinting. "You've been making me take it seriously since the day I met you."

Kunou, still eating in the shade, called out, "I could've beaten you all if I joined!"

That drew a round of laughter—even from Koneko, who hid it behind her hand.

The sun dipped lower in the golden sky, casting long shadows over the courtyard. Tomorrow, they'd meditate again. Tomorrow, they'd fight again. And tomorrow, they'd inch a little closer to the paths that would one day make them goddesses.

For now, though, they just sat together, the quiet hum of their bond stronger than any training session could make it.
