"So, what do you know about this guy?" Shakky asks, leaning on the bar and puffing smoke.
"I only know his name," Amy says, sitting on her hammer. "I think it was Ben Roy or something."
"Ben Roy, huh." The woman sighs.
"You know him?" Amy asks, a little worried.
"Not personally, but I've heard of him. He's a known slaver in the New World." She blows out smoke. "He's a twisted man. Apparently, he has a museum in the underworld where he keeps a bunch of rare items."
"What kind of items?" Amy asks, her voice trembling.
"They range from rare treasures to weapons… and people. Your friend Lucia will become part of his collection." She shakes her head. Amy stands quickly.
"Where is that museum?" Her hands tremble and her breathing quickens.
"According to the rumors". She blows smoke "he secretly took control of the underworld on an island called Dressrosa. His museum was known before, but it gained a lot of popularity after the Straw Hats defeated Doflamingo."
"I don't care who the Straw Hats are or about Doflamingo. All I want to know is how to find Dressrosa Island."
"I understand that you want to save her, but it won't be an easy task. The people visiting that place are the worst criminals in this world, and also the Celestial Dragons. For some reason, they respect Ben Roy and consider his museum an entertaining attraction. Basically, launching an attack there means risking a fight against dangerous pirates and the Marines." Tears fall from Amy's eyes.
"This isn't fair! She did nothing to deserve that! Those people can't keep getting away with this!"
"I know, and I'm sorry. Unfortunately, this is the world we live in."
"That still doesn't make it right!"
"You're right, it doesn't. But sometimes there are things we can't do like saving this girl without causing a major disaster."
"How would that create a disaster? What's so wrong about saving an innocent girl?" Shakky blows smoke.
"Have you heard about what your friend did at that island called Water 7?"
"He saved a man from the Celestial Dragons. What about it?"
"Do you know what happened after?" Amy raises an eyebrow. "I doubt he even knows. After Sonic escaped the island, the entire Galley-La Company was imprisoned in Impel Down. Their leader, Iceberg, is waiting for his execution in a few weeks." Amy's eyes widen. "There are consequences when you fight a Celestial Dragon. The king of Dressrosa knows that. It's why he hides the museum's existence from his people and tries to ignore it.
"What do you think will happen if a group of people disturbs that calm? You and Sonic free that girl, and then what? You'll leave innocent civilians at the mercy of the Celestial Dragons? I've seen what those people are capable of. Erasing an island from existence is nothing to them. Water 7 is lucky it was only the Galley-La Company that suffered their rage."
Amy falls silent. This world is too foreign for her. She can't just smash through a door and solve the problem. This world is rotten and corrupt. What's good and bad is controlled by the people at the top. She's just a stranger in this place. She has no power, no influence to change that system. She knows there are only two things she can do and she absolutely hates them: wait, and hope. Wait until Sonic finishes his training. Hope that Lucia is still alive.
"I should've gone to train with them. I thought I could start looking for her on my own… but I'm not strong enough."
"You don't win a fight just by throwing fists and hammers. You asked for my help, and you'll have it. We have a week to plan that attack on the museum."
"I thought it was too dangerous?"
"It is. But a good plan will increase your chances of success. So, when Sonic gets back from his training, you'll all be ready for the mission." Amy runs and jumps over the bar to hug Shakky.
"Thank you so much."
"Thank me after we're done planning," she says, letting go of her. She then walks to the door and closes the restaurant. "We're gonna need some calm to work." She blows smoke. "After this whole adventure, I expect to get back the money I lost taking care of you all."
