"Damn, I didn't even sleep," Arthur grumbled.
After a yawn, he opened the bathroom door only to find Cecilia brushing her teeth.
"Hey..."
She glanced away. "Uhmm, hey." After a pause, she added, "Sorry about yesterday. I don't know what got into my dad."
Arthur stayed silent, letting her continue. "He was all about Ha-joon before, but after hearing you defeated him, maybe he changed his mind."
Arthur shook his head, grabbing his brush from the cupboard. "No, it's fine. As the Saintess, you'd have married whoever the Goddess chose anyway. So in the Pope's eyes, there's no better option than me—the one the Goddess married."
Cecilia watched him brush his teeth, her cheeks flushed. "So… you're not mad that someone you barely know became your concubine?"
Arthur turned to her, tilting his head in confusion. "Wait, you thought I'd be mad?"
She nodded shyly.
