Chapter 80 - Chapter 80

Reincarnated as a Fisherman and a Dad Chapter 80

"Beautiful! Gorgeous! Fantastic! Such an angel! I want to marry you again!" Karlos whistled and clapped his hands in amazement. His eyes sparkled with excitement, drawing a few curious glances from nearby shoppers. No matter what dress Maya wore, Karlos would find her attractive.

'Yup, if someone hurt my family, I'll hurt them back. It's fine if they hurt me, but it's a different thing if they hurt Maya and the kids... Am I overprotective?'

The commotion Karlos created attracted attention, causing Maya to blush in embarrassment. Her cheeks reddened as she lowered her gaze. She glared at her husband with a flustered expression.

"Karlos!"

"Do you like it? Does the size fit right? Turn around, I want to see that ass." He leaned closer.

"... I like it." Maya clicked her tongue but still answered. She smoothed the hem of the dress, then turned around...

"Miss, we're going to buy it. Also, please include this pair of underwear."

He handed the clerk a revealing bra and a g-string. When Maya saw them, her embarrassment deepened and she glared at her husband.

"Karlos!"

"You don't have to worry, I know your size perfectly well." He smirked with absolute confidence.

"Karlos Alejandro!"

They paid 4,000 pesos. Maya felt like she had spent too much, making her uncomfortable. She clenched the shopping bag tighter. She should have gone to their shop at the town center, where a family rented the place to sell less expensive clothes. Maya gritted her teeth and looked at Karlos, who was walking beside her with his arm around her waist.

"Money is meant to be spent. Besides, you really do look amazing in that dress."

"What about the skimpy underwear then? You pervert. With that urge of yours, you might even tear them apart because of too much excitement." Maya recalled an incident that made her heart skip a beat. Her dress at that time turned to rags.

"We'll just buy another one."

"Why are you looking at me like that while licking your lips? Are you imagining me in that skimpy outfit?" She playfully slapped his shoulder.

"Yes."

"You didn't even deny it at all."

"I have no reason to. I just love you too much." He tightened his hold on her waist lovingly.

"... Hmph!" She scoffed. "... I love you too."

The first floor focused more on clothes, and the other half was occupied by a large grocery store.

After that small moment, the two reached the second floor, which had more restaurants and other kinds of stores.

The couple saw famous restaurants they had only seen on TV commercials. Their town only had local eateries.

"I wonder when we'll have fast food restaurants in our town," Karlos muttered. He missed eating Jollybee and McDonaldo.

"Fast food restaurants are unhealthy and full of grease. At least eateries have vegetables in their menus." Maya said strictly, though her eyes were fixed on the fast food restaurants.

"Should we buy something for the kids? How about Jollybee?"

"You're just changing the topic... Alright, let's buy some later. Let's also buy food for Mrs. Wanda and the others. Although it won't be warm by the time we return."

"It doesn't matter, food is food."

Maya agreed. For her, even if the fried chicken was cold, it would still be delicious. No one would say no to fried chicken, unless they were allergic or something.

They went up another escalator and reached the 3rd floor. They looked around and found the sign of the jewelry store. Neither of them knew that it was one of the best in the country. Well, they weren't interested in luxury products anyway.

"A-Jewelries. This is the place Roman is talking about." Karlos looked at the note and the signage, confirming they matched. The displays all looked expensive.

"Do you have an appointment?"

The guard stopped them as they tried to enter. His expression turned serious as he saw their simple clothes. He evaluated their appearance and deemed them unworthy. Their usual customers were elites and wealthy people who could spend six figures without batting an eye. The couple might be wearing something simple, but nothing about them suggested wealth. They looked like ordinary people.

"Ah, yes, I forgot. Roman also left an instruction." Karlos felt the situation was awkward, aware of the guard's stares. The jewelry store was undeniably high-class.

Even Maya felt a bit intimidated. She held Karlos' arm, hesitating as she glanced at the luxurious items inside.

"I'm Karlos Alejandro. Roman told me to visit this store to appraise our pearls," Karlos said, smirking at the guard.

"... Sir, are you talking about Roman Alejandro?"

"That's right."

Karlos had an inkling that Roman was not a simple person. A guy who owned a sports car and was friends with a politician's son definitely wasn't ordinary.

The Alejandro family was the type of wealthy family that preferred to operate behind the spotlight. They weren't famous like other billionaires, although their influence in the country was widespread.

"Sir, let me contact my manager first. Please, sit down. I apologize for my behavior earlier." The guard completely changed his demeanor and showed respect. He bowed, afraid that he might offend Karlos and Roman. He opened the door for them and led them to the reception area. He didn't want to offend the big boss.

"... This Roman guy, I think he's influential," Maya whispered to Karlos while the guard went to find the manager.

"I guess so." Karlos agreed. He had no idea why he kept encountering rich people lately. He was just a simple fisherman.

"Ma'am, Sir, I'm Delimondo, the manager of A-Jewelries here in the Evitac City branch."

"Nice to meet you," they said, shaking hands with the manager. His demeanor was soft and feminine. The couple quickly picked up on his graceful gestures and distinct tone... He might be gay.

Manager Delimondo smiled warmly. His big boss had personally called their branch, instructing them to accommodate a man named Karlos Alejandro. From that moment, Delimondo had informed the guards and staff to call him if someone with that name came. He had been on edge for three weeks because Karlos never showed up.

He feared Karlos might have visited without introducing himself, possibly leaving disappointed. Delimondo dreaded the consequences of such a mistake.

Fortunately, Karlos finally arrived today, together with his wife. Although Delimondo expected them to show up in a nice suit and an expensive dress, he quickly composed himself when he saw their simple clothing. He didn't want to appear judgmental.

'If I'm right, this guy is probably related to the Alejandro family, considering the surname. Maybe a second or third cousin of Sir Roman.'

However, Delimondo noticed something confusing... Roman and Karlos had a strong resemblance.
