Chapter 330 - Chapter 330: The Concept of a Demon Realm

After a back and forth, Kasha was presuaded.

"How is her background? Is she clean?" Kasha asked with a look of excitement she tried to hide.

To tell the truth, she had no idea what a Living Saint actually was.

" Don't worry, this woman's background is absolutely spotless," Axis replied.

The Empire's Living Saints were equivalent to the Old Man's Chosen, or perhaps entities like Greater Daemons or Daemon Princes.

Calling them Daemon Princes was likely more accurate. Living Saints were Battle Sisters or members of the Imperial Ecclesiarchy in the material universe who, after death, were resurrected by the Emperor using his immense psychic might.

If the physical shell of a Living Saint was damaged in realspace, their essence would return to the Warp to restore its various attributes, functioning almost exactly like a Daemon Prince.

The only difference was that the psychic energy they used was holy, and they bore the wings of angels.

Watching his parents gloat, Kratos shook his head helplessly. He had honestly never considered personal relationships.

Before his father and mother returned, his heart and mind had been entirely focused on the Great Crusade and taking care of his Legion.

The people he interacted with were almost exclusively Perpetuals or Primarchs. No one ever discussed romance, so he had simply never thought about such matters.

Being suddenly assigned a wife by his father made him very uncomfortable, though his father's reasoning was not technically wrong.

"Father, what does 'Living Saint' mean? Is it something similar to a Perpetual or a powerful psyker?" Kratos asked.

"How should I put this? First, I need to explain the current state of the Emperor to you both. I need to explain the changes that happened to your father, Kasha, and your grandfather, Kratos, after he sat upon the Golden Throne. The Emperor has now begun to transform into a God of Chaos."

Axis continued. "The current Emperor even possesses his own legion of daemons, and these Living Saints are entities similar to the Daemon Princes transformed by the Ruinous Powers."

Axis gave everyone a simple summary of the Old Man's current situation.

To put it plainly, the Old Man was now practically a complete Chaos God. He possessed all the powers held by the Ruinous Powers.

The only thing missing was that he had not fully entered the Warp to exist across all timelines simultaneously.

These words left the two listeners stunned and somewhat at a loss.

When the Ecclesiarchy was first established, everyone had their reservations. Yet they never imagined that ten thousand years later, the Emperor would actually transform into an existence akin to a Warp God, complete with his own daemons, his own Daemon Princes, and perhaps even his own Greater Daemons in the future.

Kasha was somewhat psychologically prepared because Axis had revealed some of this to her before. Kratos, however, found it much harder to accept. In his heart, the Emperor would always be his grandfather, the mortal man leading humanity, not a god.

"A Living Saint. So, you intend to create a body for her, just like you did for the Goddess of Life, correct?" Kasha asked thoughtfully.

"That's right. I intend to use the Saibaman seeds again this time," Axis said.

"Axis, during your slumber, I spoke with Isha, the Goddess of Life. She told me that if it is just a normal life form, even an existence at the level of a Greater Daemon or Daemon Prince, provided they are not a true God, strong life force is enough to create a suitable vessel for them," Kasha argued. "With the current Goddess of Life here, she can do this easily. I don't think you need to use your Saibaman seeds. Using those things makes me feel a bit uneasy."

She knew exactly what the Saibaman seeds actually produced. If special materials were not added, the resulting creature was a complete monster.

Even if the Living Saint maintained a human appearance, Kasha couldn't get over the psychological hurdle. Furthermore, this so-called female Living Saint would likely form a father-daughter bond with her husband due to the creation process.

How would it look for her to then marry their son?

Therefore, Kasha felt that creating a body for this female Living Saint using the divine power of Life was a much more appropriate choice. She voiced her concerns to Axis.

"Your consideration makes sense, and it is not impossible. I have now mastered God Ki. Creating a body is not particularly difficult for me," Axis admitted.

Women were often more attentive to details than men, and Kasha had considered things he had not.

Creating a complete body for her using Life Force was a very good alternative.

Moreover, since Axis had become a god, the body he created would be equivalent to a Perpetual.

The only difference was that she would lack the terrifying biological immortality of a natural Perpetual, as a Living Saint's soul was bound to the Emperor. Even if killed, the Living Saint could be resurrected through the Emperor. And as long as she was with them, Axis didn't think anything could threaten his son's wife.

"Then let us not delay. We shall set off for Macragge immediately. Young Guilliman took a hit ten thousand years ago, felled by a single sword stroke, and has been sleeping for ten millennia. Let's go wake him up," Axis said.

"Agreed. Let's depart now," Kasha said.

"Please, Father, could you listen to my opinion? I feel it is necessary for me to meet this lady named Celestine first before making a decision. Aren't you rushing this?" Kratos said, somewhat speechless.

"Your opinion is noted." Axis waved his hand dismissively.

He grabbed Kasha with one hand and Kratos with the other, tore open the fabric of reality, and dove into the Warp.

The current Axis, relying on his own God Ki, could swim freely within the Immaterium.

He wrapped the two of them in his divine aura, isolating them from the corruption of the Warp's energy, and carried them forward through the Sea of Souls.

To be honest, the Sea of Souls was not very pretty.

It was thoroughly polluted. Everywhere, Warp daemons noticed Axis and the others. They immediately revealed greedy expressions and rushed over, only to be instantly incinerated to ash by Axis's powerful divine energy.

After sensing the immense power radiating from Axis, the remaining daemons immediately became docile and dared not approach him again.

"Honestly, Father, if not for these filthy daemons, this place would actually be quite beautiful," Kratos remarked as he observed the true nature of the Warp.

The wondrous sights of the Great Ocean were indescribable.

If not for the disgusting daemons and various twisted monsters surrounding them, the environment would be far more stunning.

After humans died, their souls entered this place to become food for daemons or dissipate into pure soul energy.

"I promise you, son, one day I will clean up the Sea of Souls," Axis said.

Axis planned to use his divine power in the future to create a place similar to a Demon Realm and drive all those filthy daemons into it, leaving the Sea of Souls to be simply the Sea of Souls.

These foul creatures were not fit to live here. Without them, all souls could find true rest.

The establishment of a Demon Realm was necessary.

Even if the four Chaos Gods were destroyed, daemons would still be born. As long as there were humans and lifeforms generating filthy, fallen, or dark emotions, daemons would manifest.

Theoretically, as long as life existed in the material universe, daemons would be endlessly birthed.

"Then I eagerly await that day, Father. When that day comes, our family can swim freely through a beautiful Sea of Souls," Kratos said.

"Hahaha! We will," Axis said with a laugh, patting his son's head.

Time was a meaningless concept in the Great Ocean. Axis took his family and advanced toward the direction of Macragge.

At the same time, Archmagos Belisarius Cawl, Yvraine, Inquisitor Greyfax, and a contingent of Black Templars had also arrived on the planet of Macragge after a difficult journey.

They brought news to the Ultramarines: the Cadian Fortress had fallen. The Warmaster of Chaos, Abaddon, and his Thirteenth Black Crusade had inflicted unimaginable damage upon the Imperium.

After arriving on Macragge, this peculiar group was led by Chapter Master Marneus Calgar to the Fortress of Hera.

"Let us skip the pleasantries. Gentlemen, the entirety of Macragge is currently under invasion by Chaos fleets. I need to know your purpose," Calgar said, looking at the strange combination before him: an Archmagos of the Mechanicus, a female Inquisitor missing for centuries, a living saint, a Black Templar Marshal, and two xenos.

If not for Chief Librarian Tigurius repeatedly assuring him that their arrival bore a vital mission, Calgar would have already attacked.

"I am here to fulfill a compact made with the Lord of Macragge," Archmagos Belisarius Cawl stated.

"A compact? Archmagos, I do not recall reaching any agreement with you," Calgar said, puzzled.

"It was not with you, Chapter Master Calgar. I speak of the true Lord of Macragge, the Primarch of the Ultramarines, Lord Roboute Guilliman," Cawl replied.

"What did you say?" Calgar could hardly believe his ears.

This matter involved his Father.

"Ten thousand years ago, before the great Primarch Guilliman went to duel Fulgrim, he entrusted me with several secret tasks," Belisarius Cawl explained. "One of them was to restore him to life in the event of his death. I have come to honor that agreement. Chapter Master Calgar, we require an audience with the King of Ultramar."
