'What the… this system looks just exactly like in a game. It even has a store feature!'

I was genuinely impressed by how advanced and detailed the System was. It felt just like the ones I'd seen in the RPGs I used to play.

'Did Althea and her friend make this based on the games they played together? That would be hilarious. Imagine two gods playing co-op in a game made by mortals. What would their in-game names even be? AlmightyGod99? Maybe I've already crossed paths with one and unknowingly crushed them in PvP.'

I chuckled at myself.

Then something else caught my attention. The text in the System was written in strange symbols or rather, unfamiliar alphabets. And yet, somehow... I could read it.

'How am I able to understand every word without ever learning the language? Is this the language of the gods? A universal language understood by all living beings? I felt like I'd heard of something like that before.'

As I silently wondered, my eyes drifted toward Althea, who was still in her doll form.

She seemed to notice my gaze. Looking up, she smiled. "What is it?"

"Ah, it's nothing. I just didn't expect the System to be more meticulous than I thought. By the way, what language is this? Even though I've never seen these symbols before, I can understand them perfectly."

"The system was constructed with the Akashic Language. It's the source of all language in the universe. Even if you've never seen or learned it before, you will perfectly understand its meaning." Althea explained.

"What? There's such language?" I blurted out in shock.

"Yes," Althea simply nodded.

I couldn't help but mutter inwardly. 'Earth alone has thousands of languages, and some of them don't even share the same alphabet. And now she's telling me there's one universal language that works for everyone? Even aliens? This is literally… the mother tongue! Like, the original mother of all languages.'

I nearly facepalmed as another thought hit me. 'Then what was the point of me burning the midnight oil just to memorize fancy English vocab and grammar rules? Damn it. Althea, or whoever god, should've just introduced this language to Earth from the beginning. It would've saved me and students in every part of the world a lot of stress and a ton of sleepless nights.

"I see…" That was all I could say in the end.

Anyway, I soon focused back on the System. And, like any gamer would do in my shoes, the first thing I did was:

Check my stats!

'Let's see what we've got here.'

Based on what I saw earlier, the System was clearly tracking and reflecting my current form. It listed my race as "Spirit" instead of "Human".

As I focused my thoughts on the word Status, the screen changed.

[Stats]

Strength: H-

Agility: C

Intelligence: G

Stamina: G

Charisma: E-

Upon reading all the information, my first reaction was to frown.

'H-, C, G, G, E-... If this is anything like systems back on Earth, S-Rank should be the highest… which means H–Rank was eighth rank below...'

'Does that mean I was three ranks weaker than the weakest hunter of mankind?' I stared at the screen, speechless.

I then reasoned in my mind.

'Well, I'm just a soul right now, so it's not too surprising that my Strength is bottom-tier. At least I got a C in Agility. I wonder what that's based on? Maybe because I can fly? That probably gave me a decent score in mobility.'

Then it suddenly occurred to me.

'Wait… if I'm currently just a soul, does that mean I'll stay like this when I go to the other world? Am I going to live as a ghost?'

That didn't line up with what Althea said. I was supposed to spread love and, well, spread my seed as her Saint. But how the hell was I supposed to do that as a floating spirit?

Can ghosts even produce sperm? Would I be doing it through dreams or something? Like an incubus?

'Ah, silly me. Of course, there's a reincarnation! I've read enough reincarnation stories to know how this works. I can't believe I didn't think of it sooner.'

Althea was obviously planning to reincarnate me into that world. That made way more sense. Hopefully, into a noble family too. That way I wouldn't have to worry about food and money. I had read enough stories with a protagonist struggling just to feed their stomachs. I don't want to suffer the same fate as those unfortunate characters.

In just a few seconds, my mind had spiraled through about ten different scenarios.

I've always been an overthinker… and clearly, death hadn't cured me of that. If anything, it made it worse.

After a moment, I snapped back to reality. I shook my head, trying to clear out all the random thoughts, and focused on the next feature: Quests.

But when the screen changed, there was… nothing.

'Nothing?'

"Uh, the Quest system isn't working?" I asked.

"No. I just haven't issued any quests yet. You'll start receiving them once you arrive in the other world."

"Got it." I nodded and moved on to the next tab, Milestones.

The list just kept going… and going. I had to scroll for several minutes to reach the bottom.

'I never imagined the Goddess would prepare so many Milestones. Some of these are so outrageous, if I tried them back on Earth, I'd probably get a knock on the door from the FBI.'

I wiped the imaginary sweat from my forehead and moved on to the Store.

There were only a handful of items listed, and I couldn't scroll down any further. It's like my access to the feature was restricted.

"The store only listed a few items?" I tried to inquire.

"Yes, for now. Many items are currently inaccessible with your present points. To unlock more of the items, you will need to accumulate more points."

"This also applies to the System itself. There are hidden functions you can't access right now. Once you reach certain thresholds, those functions will unlock automatically."

"Why don't you just release the full version instead of giving me this incomplete one?" was what I wanted to ask, but knowing Althea, her answer would probably be vague, or she wouldn't answer at all.

After a while, I looked up at Althea. "I'm done."

"You're done? Hmm, since it looks like you're all set, shall I send you to the other world now?"

"Sure… wait." I paused, a thought crossing my mind. "How am I supposed to contact you once I'm there?"

"There's no need. I'll check in on you from time to time. When I do, you'll be able to speak with me directly."

"Alright…" I nodded, then hesitated again. "Actually, do you have anything else to give me? Maybe another cheat or two? I mean, the more power I've got, the faster I can gather believers, right?"

Althea narrowed her eyes slightly but still spoke with patience. "Power gained through shortcuts, without effort or understanding, tends to cause more harm than good. You understand?"

"…Yeah, I get it."

But before she could say more, I quickly blurted out, "Wait, what about a bible? Do you want me to describe you a certain way?"

"That can wait," she replied. "Right now, focus on surviving. We'll talk about forming my cult once you've found your footing."

"Very well..."

"Then I shall send you now—"

"Wait! What should I be most careful about over there?"

Althea gave a quiet breath before answering. "The Church."

"The Church... wait-"

My voice was cut off as Althea suddenly swiped her hand.

"Ahhhh!"

A vacuum-like force yanked me off my feet. I barely had time to panic as the world around me warped and twisted. Just before everything faded to black, the last thing I saw was Althea's smiling and relieved face.
