"Hmm, I heard something over here." Goten suddenly came to a halt on top of a branch from a massive tree. His eyes snapped open as he looked around the hundreds-of-meters-tall tree.

A sudden sonic boom was created as a massive snake burst through the canopy and bit down towards Goten. Goten looked up, and his power level lowered until it was barely weaker than the snake's.

Goten groaned as the head of the snake slammed into his hands. The impact generated a shockwave, sending him flying through a tree. He spun in the air before kicking off another tree, propelling himself back toward the serpent.

The snake opened its mouth in pain as Goten kicked its belly, releasing a shockwave that rattled the trees surrounding them. Goten smirked with excitement, his red eyes turning into slitys as he felt his blood boil.
The snake hissed as its hundreds of meters long body unfurled from the enormous tree. Its tail whipped at Goten, breaking the sound barrier before slamming into his defence.
"Urgh!" Goten's defence was smacked away by the tail, and his eyes spun as the tail smacked into his chest, sending him flying. As Goten flew in the air, his Saiyan blood boiled, his potential unlocking as he suddenly grew in power by a massive amount.
"Hmm? My power level increased by 1,000?" Goten asked himself with shock and surprise as he came to a halt on a tree branch. His previous power level was only 35 as he fought the snake.
"Looks like I can get stronger at a faster rate, maybe even becoming more powerful than a Super Saiyan Gohan in base," Goten muttered to himself as he condensed his power level down to 35 again.
Launching himself forward, the snake once more, Goten and the snake began fighting, destroying the forest around the two as they fought for hours.
Goten's stamina was endless, regenerating 10 times faster than it was being depleted. His sore muscles also healed at a rate 10 times faster than they were damaged.
Goten was like a never-ending, tireless Elden Ring boss with infinite HP. You could fight it with blocks and parries, but you eventually get hit while the boss has unlimited HP.
It's an inevitable loss as the snake finally fell to the ground after three whole hours of fighting. Tens of trees were destroyed, razing a small part of the forest as the two fought.
Goten released a satisfied sigh as he looked down at the snake at his feet. It was bruised and parts of its body were missing, its brain exposed from his punches and kicks.
In those three hours, Goten had learned how to generate more force with his kicks and punches and a better way to defend himself. But that's not what caught his attention.
What caught his attention was Ki.
After fighting for hours, Goten was able to sense the Ki inside the snake's body. This allowed him to track the way the snake's Ki flowed and predict what he was going to do before he did.
"Punching and kicking are all good, but it's time I learned how to do Ki blasts and such," Goten muttered as he exited his Over Drive form. His crimson pupils turned black, and the red accents on his hair faded.
Goten spun and vanished as he floated into the air. He had perfect control of his Ki in Over Drive mode, and he could fly by just lifting himself with his Ki.
Of course, that's another thing when he is not inside the Over Drive form. But it's not a big deal since Goten had used the Over Drive mode to learn how to fly without using the form.

Goten broke the sound barrier as he flew towards his home. It didn't take longer than a few seconds as he stopped above his home. He fell to the ground and entered in time to smell food.
After the two ate, Goten and Chichi walked into her room, where she watched as Goten sat down in front of her desk and started reading the books she brought for Gohan.
The technology in this world is way beyond Goten's world, but only in terms of everyday technology. In truly groundbreaking tech, similar to his food converter, he is way ahead of almost everyone.
But Goten entered his Over Drive Form and started reading the books. He flipped through the pages and used his super speed to read through every single book in 10 minutes.
After that was done. Goten read them again and again until an hour passed. Once that was finished, Goten went to bed with Chichi, his mind awake as he absorbed the knowledge, not just remembered.
