Synopsis
In 1972, a groundbreaking discovery by Herbert Boyer and Stanley Cohen in genetic engineering, where they created the first transgenic organisms by inserting a resistance gene into an E. coli plasmid, sparked both immense scientific excitement and public backlash. While many hailed it as a monumental step forward, others protested, fearing humanity was "playing God." Amidst this controversy, Jeremy Karlson, a renowned paleontologist, recognized the profound potential of Boyer and Cohen's work. He saw it as a means to achieve something unprecedented: bringing dinosaurs back to life. Jeremy, accompanied by his wealthy step-brother Jake, who offered to fully fund the ambitious project, met with Boyer and Cohen. Jeremy revealed that during an expedition in Alaska, his team had discovered a perfectly preserved, 17,000-year-old juvenile dire wolf with intact organs, from which they successfully extracted degraded DNA. He believed that with Boyer and Cohen's expertise in transgenic technology, they could use this DNA, and by extension, potentially dinosaur DNA, to resurrect extinct creatures. Initially hesitant and skeptical of the audacious proposition, Boyer and Cohen were eventually swayed by Jeremy's unwavering confidence and the sheer magnitude of the idea. With Jake's financial backing and Jeremy's bold vision, they agreed to collaborate. The project, estimated to take four to five years, aimed to apply the nascent field of genetic engineering to the realm of paleontology, promising to reshape the world in an unimaginable way. As they left, Jeremy mused that when their success became public, the world would be irrevocably divided.

Chapter 1 - 1972

The year was 1972..

This year was such an important year that it was compared to the Einstein theory of relativity in 1915.. In later years to come.. In this year in the late spring herbert boyer and his colleague stanley cohen created the first transgenic organisms. They added a resistance gene inside an E. coli plasmid. This was a huge step in the field of genetic engineering. The news spread like a wild fire in the scientific community. All the world's top headlines printed this research and some praised them. Few criticized them that this should be stopped and we should not be playing God. The streets were filled with people with signs and banners backlashing them from stop playing god..

But there was a scientist who saw this as an opportunity to achieve something far greater than this his name was jeremy karlson.. He was one of the brightest mind in the field of paleontology. He had discovered many dinosaur fossils and he was considered a master in his field. The thing Jeremy was about to do would change the course of the world and the history in a way no one could have imagined..

'Don't they understand how important this discovery is to mankind this have created a new pathway to curing diseases from a brand new way' ( as jeremy looked out of his window seeing people on the street protesting about research )

' people also have strong opinion when something questions their faith on God ' ( as a man was sitting right beside jeremy with a cigar in his mouth reading newspaper turning page while talking to him )

' I still don't understand it is for a better future for mankind..' ( jeremy had a confused look on his face as if he was missing something )

' if all the people thought like you it would turn the world upside down' ( the man laughed while looking at as he removed his cigar and threw it out of the window )

' is that supposed to be a compliant or sarcasm jake' ( as the car came to a stop and jake walked out of the as he looked back in the car closing his buttons of the suit'

' that's for you to find out scientist' ( as he winked at jeremy the both walked out of the car seeing people standing in front of a building gate . With banner and signs jake looked at jeremy )

' there might be a lot of people who believe in God don't they' ( as jeremy rolled his eyes as a man walked towards them dressed in a formal suit )

'what the fuck is he wearing shouldnt scientist be wearing lab coat some shit' (jake asked jeremy with a confused tone )

'thats not him jackass'

( the walked towards them and introduced himself ) ' good afternoon gentlemen it's quite lovely to have you here with us this day please follow me this way'

'What about them will they would coming with also ' ( jake pointed at the crowd behind the gate )

'they will not sir jake ' ( jeremy looked at jake with a slight annoyed face )

' what i was trying to make him laugh'

As they walked inside the building they saw all the photos of boyer, cohen, and mauriss working together in the lab

'Would you look at that ' jake pointed to the photo of the first transgenic organisms 'all this protest and all for this little guy '

'you are right about that Mr.jake all this just for this little guy ' ( a man walked towards them wearing a lab coat jake looked confused on who was this man )

'gentlemen i would like to introduced you Sir herbert Boyer one of the creator of first transgenic organisms '

'its an honour to meet you Sir boyer ' ( jeremy and jake shock his hands )

'the honor is also mine Sir jeremy your one the brightest mind in paleontology if have read your paper on the dinosaur that you just discovered dimetrodon i presumed ' ( boyer had a doubtful expression on his face )

'yes. But its not a dinosaur its a synapsids which means he more related to humans than dinosaur '

( Boyer had a surprised look on his face )

'you dont say. Come on lets go meet the rest of the people you can carry on Justin ' ( as they walked towards a room filled with lab coat and gloves )

'Please wear this gentleman cause we dont want any bacteria infecting our samples' ( boyer handed them the

coat and gloves ) 'follow me'

As they headed towards a room were cohen were present 'gentlemen introduced you Sir cohen '

' it's nice to meet you gentleman here this day ' ( as they shook their hands and sat down in a empty room filled with only 4 chairs and a table )

'Soo.. Sir Jeremy, we have read your letter and here we are today. What do you want to talk about which could change the course of the world '

'Gentlemen, the discovery you made is phenomenal. This could help us solve many problems in the future. ( as there was a pause in his words ) as you know i am a paleontologist and recently i have discovered a fossil of a dinosaur and i believe that.. ' ( jeremy loosened his tie drank water from the glass on the table ) i think.. We can bring them back.

(boyer and cohen were confused as they looked each other cluelessly as boyer broke the silence ) 'what do you mean we can bring them back '

'The dinosaur we can bring them back to life..' ( the entire room was left in silence cohen and boyer were left speechless they didn't know what to say as if there souls were left their bodies )

' do you realise what did you just said jeremy this is not a joke but a serious remarks you have just made ' ( jeremy removed his glasses and removed his tie and he looked at them right in their eyes )

' I know what i just said and i know we can pull this off ' ( cohen asked jeremy ) ' and what are bases on this jermey.. '

'Last month when i was in far north of alaska searching the Aenocyon dirus also know Direwolf there we found a perfectly preserved body of a juvenile dire wolf we brought back the Asset back to lab and had done a carbon dating and found it was 17,000 years old we X-ray the body and found the organs were perfectly preserved. We extracted the DNA from it but the issue was the DNA was recovered from such an old fossil that a little part of it was degraded. Then a week later.. I saw the news of both of you and your research then I wrote the letter to you both..

( both cohen and boyer were in disbelieved hearing this this was far greater than anything this world had seen )

'Holy fuck..i dont have any words to say ' ( boyer stood up and walked to corner of the room )

(boyer speaked from the corner of the room) 'and you need us for our transgenic research right.

'Yes you are absolutely correct.' (jeremy spoke with confidence in his voice)

'And what about funding do you how much money would be required to pull stunt off' (cohen asked with concerned tone )

'That's where i come in gentleman ' (jake rose his hands with a smug tone ) 'i will provide funding to this stunt ' (looking at cohen)

'They money will be not a issue when you come from a oil exporting background the money does not stop coming and i can help my step- brother in any way possible i will do it.. '

'So when do you will began this project of your ' (boyer walked towards jeremy and crossed his hands) 'it will take 4-5 years to pull this off i just need your patent to pull this and group of team of highly expert in this field'

(boyer and cohen walked in on the corner to discuss this) 'what do you think man about this..i dont whether to go with guy or not ' (boyer was on edge with the rone of his voice.) 'I know.. I am also not sure.. Whether to go for it or not.. ' ( as they looked backed on both of them seeing them chatting with each other.. )

' what are the chances of this succeeding ' (boyer looked at jeremy dead in the eye)

'I'm hundred percent sure that this will succeed with' (Jeremy told them with confidence in his voice.. As boyer looked at Cohen and nodded his head. And extended his )

'Then you got yourself a deal ' (as they both shock his hand ) 'we both also want to see this asset.. I think we should go for your lab and do the research there'

'It's fine by me.. ' (Jeremy replied.. As they grabbed their coats. And left the building. As they saw people outside the gate shouting.. ) 'how do you think they will react when this will be a reality ' (jake asked jeremy) 'when that day will come the world will be split in two parts' (as they sat inside a car and drove of the airport )
