Tala was still sprawled across the table, panting hard, when Jax snapped his fingers and the clone moved like a soldier obeying orders. Jax grabbed the shining armor from the pedestal and, piece by piece, began to dress his double. Black plates trimmed in gold fit perfectly against the identical body, each silver gem glowing like stars embedded in the flesh of a god.
The helmet came last, hiding the clone's face. The presence it radiated was almost oppressive. This wasn't a man, not even a warrior… it was something that looked like it had fallen from the heavens, a god made of flesh and steel.
"Perfect," Jax muttered with satisfaction.
