The sound of tearing fabric rang out in the silent chamber, unusually sharp and clear.
"Is anyone there? Help!"
"Hey! This is harassment!"
"Rakshasa God, are you going to do something about your inheritor?!"
Bibi Dong suddenly sat up, seized Lin Fan's collar, and with a small twist of her hands, ripped it straight down the middle.
Their clothes had already been in tatters after the fight with the Rakshasa Soul.
Now, with just that one pull, Lin Fan's upper body was completely bare.
Across his chest were visible red marks from Bibi Dong's fingernails, proof of how hard she'd grabbed him—or perhaps, that she could no longer control her strength.
Anyone could tell that Bibi Dong's state right now was… fiercer than someone drugged.
Rip—
Another tear rang out—this time, it wasn't Lin Fan's clothes, but Bibi Dong's own.
The sudden exposure brought a brief chill to her skin, and her eyes cleared for an instant.
But then she leaned on him again, pressing close, breathing heavily into his ear.
"Lin Fan… help me… I feel like I'm burning."
"Hey, Bibi Dong, what's going on?!" Lin Fan asked urgently.
"I… don't know. There's something inside me… I think it's the Rakshasa's power. Hurry…" She struggled to get the words out, as if holding back with all her might.
Before Lin Fan could respond, she was already pushing at him again, hands roaming without restraint.
"Hey! Bibi Dong! Stop pulling at my pants!"
"What kind of situation is this?!"
He pushed her away, exasperated, as she leaned in to kiss him.
In that moment, he suddenly remembered what she'd told him before about the Rakshasa's power:
"The Rakshasa God is a dark, evil deity. The Rakshasa's power is formed from many negative forces—sloth, greed, lust…"
A thought hit Lin Fan like lightning, and his head throbbed.
Wait… this is another 'reward' from the Rakshasa God? One of the negative powers—lust?
She did this on purpose. The Rakshasa God planned this!
There's no way this is just a coincidence right after the God Trial…
And yet… Lin Fan could feel his desires surging as well.
At this point, Bibi Dong was like a slippery eel, writhing against him, refusing to let go.
How could any man endure this?
If he stayed "righteous" now… could he even call himself a man?
Lin Fan knew he would have to take the initiative.
"Alright… but you can't blame me when you wake up later," he warned.
He wasn't sure if it was his imagination, but he thought he saw her give the faintest of nods before she closed her half-lidded eyes.
"Forget it—come what may."
Meanwhile, in the depths of the Rakshasa God's temple within the secret realm, the Rakshasa God's divine thought watched silently.
"Inheritor… this is for your good. That shadow buried deep in your heart from all those years ago must be completely erased, so you can stand in your best state… and become the complete Rakshasa."
The dim chamber had no windows, no light, and no one knew how much time passed.
All that could be said was that the sounds within eventually faded into stillness.
Bibi Dong was the first to regain clarity. She shoved Lin Fan away with a sharp smack and slowly sat up, brows furrowing.
"Ahhh!!!"
"Rakshasa God! I'm going to kill you!"
Her voice turned into a deafening roar that made the entire chamber tremble.
She then swung a palm strike at Lin Fan.
But Lin Fan was quick—he caught her wrist before it could land.
"You promised you wouldn't blame me after you woke up," Lin Fan reminded her, startled awake by her yell and that incoming slap.
Bibi Dong tugged at her arm, but couldn't break free. Her face darkened. "Let go."
Though her spirit power was intact, the sheer physical exhaustion had taken its toll.
"Don't forget—you asked me to save you. I'm your lifesaver," Lin Fan said with a roll of his eyes, finally releasing her wrist.
"Hmph!" She snorted coldly—and then slapped him on the stomach.
"Ugh—after all that hard work, I saved an ungrateful woman," Lin Fan groaned.
"You still dare to talk," she said with a frown as she got to her feet.
She pulled a set of clothes from her spatial soul tool and glared at him. "Turn your head."
"Tch—fine, I'll turn. I've already seen everything anyway," Lin Fan said, turning away with a smirk.
Behind him came the sound of fabric rustling. A short while later, she said:
"Get up. We're leaving. And once we're out—don't tell anyone."
Lin Fan could tell she wasn't going to pursue the matter further, so he grinned, threw on a loose shirt, and got to his feet.
His whole body was sticky, so a bath was definitely in order once they got out.
"Fine, I won't say a word. But… you'll have to take responsibility for me," he added with a mischievous smile.
"I'll cut you down!" she snapped, raising her hand in a knife-hand gesture.
"Let's go!" Lin Fan bolted for the chamber door.
She chased—he ran—but there was no escape.
At the exit passage leading back to her study, Bibi Dong caught him by the collar.
"Don't you dare tell Tang Yuehua. Got it?" she warned.
"I got it… heartless woman," Lin Fan said, crossing his arms.
"Get lost!" she barked, kicking him square in the backside and sending him stumbling out of the room.
Once outside, Lin Fan realized the sky was pitch-black.
Great… so have I been in there for a day, or a whole day and night?
He remembered going into the chamber in the morning. Now it was night.
Back at his courtyard, Lin Fan immediately took a bath and collapsed into bed, asleep within moments.
Meanwhile, Bibi Dong was still in her bath, soaking.
Strange… I can now fully wield 99th-level spirit power… and I've also gained a trace of the Rakshasa's power.
Rakshasa God… was this your true reward?
What's your real aim? Is it just to help me better integrate the Rakshasa's power?
As she calmed down, Bibi Dong marveled at the changes in her spirit power—yet the events in the chamber inevitably came to mind.
She had regained consciousness midway through… but unable to stop, she had simply let it happen.
