Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Reincarnation

As the light from the candle spread flickering shadows throughout the room, the life of Yuki Shirogane had come to an end.

Or did it?

White particles of light started to disperse in the atmosphere as a white orb of bright light came out of Yuki's Forehead. Although the light was bright, nobody was able to see it.

The bright orb of light phased through the ceiling as it started to accelerate at a very fast speed.

Passing through the clouds, it left the atmosphere within a matter of seconds as its speed reached the speed of light in a few moments, and then:

*Spark! Spark!*

A black portal appeared as the light entered it flashing the surroundings.

*Snap!*

The portal closed as the tiny ripples in space settled themselves down again.

All of this time, Yuki was completely conscious, aware of everything that was happening in front of him.

He watched as his vision entered through the portal, moving at immense speeds. For unknown reasons, the consciousness had not yet faded, but it was not to question that he was already dead.

"Woah! Woah! Where am I going?!"

He screamed at the top of his lungs, at this magnitude, there should have been at least some pain in his throat, but to his surprise—That was not the case.

"Where's my body?"

Yuki couldn't see his body. Although he could move his vision around in every direction in three sixty degrees, he could not find his body anywhere.

All he could see were white rays of light passing by him at extreme speeds.

*Zzzng! Zzzng!*

Another portal appeared in front of him emitting bright blue light along with many other colors.

*Zumm!*

The white orb came out of the portal immediately after which the portal closed.

Yuki's eyes were blinded for a second, after which opening his eyes showed him something he would never believe was a reality before.

There was a vast cityscape in front of him. The architecture of the buildings could be said to be a better version of the Medieval European architecture, The cities were beautiful, but that was not what caught his eye.

It was the machines. Yes machines.

*Zrrrm...Zooom*

"Ah? Ahhh!"

Yuki shouted as a giant shadow cast over him.

Luckily whatever the object was phased right through him. Yuki turned his so-called eyes towards what it was.

An airship. No, it was not an airship, but its design surely resembled one. There were multiple wooden carvings and details over the buildings, and he could also see some weird glowing patterns over them.

*Zmmm!*

As Yuki turned around to get a close look, his vision started to blur as his position started to change. He was moving away.

"Aah! Let me take a closer look!"

Warping through the space with great speed, he finally stopped over another place again.

This time, the place he was in was very different.

Large fields of what looked like wheat were covering a lot of land, their image turned golden due to the soothing sunlight. There were multiple small houses around in this Area, and the pathways were very clean.

On the opposite side, there were also grasslands on which he could see multiple animals like cows and sheep eating grass, and many shepherds taking care of them.

His figure walked towards the biggest building in the village, he could guess that it was the village head's house.

Phasing through the walls again, he arrived inside a room.

There, he could see a woman lying on the bed, and a blanket covered her bottom.

She screamed in pain, surrounded by several women helping her through the delivery.

"That woman is having a delivery! Why are you people not taking her to a doctor?"

He shouted as his figure kept coming closer and closer to the women.

As the figure reached on top of it:

"Huh? Sorry! I'm not under my control! Stop! Stop! Stop!"

He shouted but to not his avail, the little white orb of light got dissolved in the woman's womb as his consciousness finally blackened.

"Lady Amaya! Hold on for a little longer!"

One of the ladies said, her figure barely visible.

"Do not lose consciousness, my lady! It's almost done!"

"Uwah! Uwah! Uwah!"

The lady screamed one last time before the baby was finally born, allowing her to take a little rest.

*bang!*

The door to the room opened as a grey-haired man entered the room.

His looks were average nothing too special, but he didn't look bad either. He had a small black beard over his face, his long messy hair tied by a string.

He was wearing a white shirt and a maroon half-coat on top of it, black pants beneath. Although the clothes were clean, it could clearly be seen that they had been used a lot of times.

As soon as he entered, he was greeted by the 'nurses'.

"How's she?"

His expression was one of worry, and the sweat on his face clearly explained that.

"Lady Amaya is fine, she is currently resting due to fatigue she built with the delivery."

"I see, oh! and how's the baby?"

A nurse came in from inside holding the baby in a towel, a smile on her face.

All of the nurses looked at each other, their eyes spoke volumes about everything.

"Congratulations Lord Patrick! It's a boy!"

They all shouted in unison, joy visible in their eyes.

. . .

"Everyone! It's a boy!"

A little girl shouted on throughout the streets of the village early in the morning.

"What?! Really? A boy?"

Someone who was walking on the streets holding a milk can questioned the little girl.

"Yes, Miss Carlson! It's a boy! Lady Amaya had a boy!"

Excitement was evident in her eyes.

*thud. Thud.*

A man who was carrying wooden sticks let go of the rope and all of the sticks fell over on the ground.

"Yeah! We all should take a visit to that child!"

The man shouted in excitement, his joy was visible to everyone.

"We will go there after a few hours! Everyone! Prepare gifts for them! We will also throw a grand feast for this joyous occasion."

Lady Carlson spoke, keeping the milk bucket on the ground and dancing around.

The same scene was happening throughout the Bosfield village, and the wave of joy filled the whole village with a symphony.
