Jay's POV
Today is the day. Today is the day i have to do something i hate but i'm good at it, Public speaking. Percy is almost 25 and became the CEO of the Mariano corporation at the age of 20 and 'being the selfless older bro he is' aka he's too lazy i got the position of CEO. It's my 21 birthday in some time. More accurately on 21st November.
Freya came over later to do my makeup while i think about what i'm going to say and she's also here to help me decide a dress for the event. i kept thinking about Angelo and Alex of what they would say.
I'm still thinking about who to bring. Aries. Na he'll just say i'm showing off. CI-n. NO Absolutely not. that kid is too emotional. David. Na he'll just sleep the entire time. Freya finished the makeup and i looked stunning.
We decided on a baby pink silk dress and the rest of the girls were wearing light colours. We are all wearing silk dresses. Freya asked me if i would invite section e
"No way in hell. Tell me would you invite your ex boyfriend and his friends if you were me?"
"Fair enough." she said and continued curling my hair. i texted in the group asking when they would arrive they said that they were outside. All of them came inside my room. I rarely let someone in my room but their my best friends.
They took turns changing in to their outfit after all of them were changed i was done. Rakki wore baby peach. freya wore sunshine yellow. Ella wore light blue. Mica wore baby green. Grace wore a light shade of purple.
Me and Freya started doing everyone's makeup one by one. then only Freya was left. Ella did Freya's makeup while i changed. We all took some selfie's but didn't post them for the public only close friends.
When we left the room, and at the same time Aries came out and he was also dressed up i wonder why but it's not my business. Before he saw us he looked confused. Then when he turned he couldn't stop staring at his girlfriend she didn't even notice him until we nudged her.
"Where are you guy's going?" Aries asked Ella
"None of your business." i said before she could respond. They all looked at me confused
"let's leave we are going to be late." i said grabbing my car key i went to the car they all followed when we all entered the car the questions started
"I didn't want to tell Aries because he'll be the odd one out like all of us are girls there is no guy coming with us."
"She does have a point."
"She's always right."
"That's why she chose us as friends."
We all burst out laughing at the last one. then left. When we reached there, they retouched our makeup before announcing the rules.
Then Percy and papa came.
"See baby sister. We both have the same genes. We are both handsome." Percy said then i heard muffed laughter from the girls which made Percy turn red with embarrassment. i couldn't help but laugh.
Then came my oldest friends the one's i knew since i was a child. Angelo's ex best friends children. Adam, Micheal and Samuel (Yes i might get hate for this idea but these names are iconic for me. adding any other names feels wrong. We walked down the red carpet photo's taken from every angle. then the interview started.
"Tell us about your proudest achievement." the first interviewer asked
"Becoming the CEO of The Mariano Corporation is my proudest achievement. The journey wasn't easy. Many people assumed my older brother, Percy, simply handed me the position, but that couldn't be further from the truth. I had to prove that I was capable and deserving of the role."
"I went through multiple rounds of interviews, assessments, and training—all while balancing the demands of my final year in high school. It was an incredibly challenging period, but it taught me resilience, discipline, and the value of earning success through hard work. Leading the company today feels even more meaningful knowing that I worked for it, not just inherited it." Everyone clapped, but my focus wasn't on them anymore. i saw section e in corned looking amused. Aries was also there
I looked back and saw Adam. I approached him and whispered
"My class is here i never invited them here. And i handled the email delivering process personally."
He lead me back to where they were doing our makeup, while everyone was trying to ask more questions
"Check your sent email's maybe you sent one when you were drunk."
"Dumbass i write every email from scratch not copy paste." yet i still opened my sent emails. And there it was clear as day an email to Kiefer. it wrote that he has to bring the entire section e and Aries. but they didn't cover their tracks well enough. the ip address was written so i sent it to my assistant to ask for their location
she gave me his live location. and he turned out to be none other then uncle kaizer.
"Hello jay. do you wanna talk here or in a private room. Maybe you want your friends to hear the conversation as well." he said. I followed him to a private room
"What do you want? I don't have words to argue about how you killed alex."
"i want you to admit that you are a watson, you lied to alex and that my brother's will wrote that the first girl grandchild of your grandma will get his entire fortune."
"If you already know it's true then why do you want me to admit it."
"Perfect."
"Whatever. I'm leaving" That was weird. the highest level of weird. Percy approached me dead serious his usual smirk gone like it never existed and said that i have to go to my father's mansion for reasons he didn't tell me he also said to take the girls with me.
Using my best judgement i left but while going i got messages from an unknown number saying he or she will upload the video of me saying all that to kaizer in the private room. But when i reached there i saw someone or rather some people i didn't want to see were over there. Just then the door's locked behind me. Dammit. lord help face them.
