Chapter 41 - FORTY-ONE

There was something about Nicholas' text that made Lana want to actually want to meet up with him.

 And without bothering to figure out what it was, she got into her car and drove straight to the restaurant he had suggested meeting up.

 They weren't meeting up at their usual café but Lana paid no mind to it. A change was good and after how her morning had begun, she surely didn't mind a couple more changes.

The restaurant was simple, Lana glad she stuck to her simple shirt and baggy jeans she had on. it was a Monday and depending on how long their conversation lasted, she probably was still going to show up at school.

 "Lana," Nicholas was doing a good job at maintaining his reputation of being punctual. He was already at the restaurant when she walked in, Lana easily spotting him by the farthest corner as he waved his hand. "Here."

 "Hi," she pulled the chair in front of him and took her seat. "I didn't keep you waiting too long, did i?"
