A couple of hours later, the sound of the doorbell pierced through the quiet house and Alexander immediately knew who it was.
Yvonne.
He rose slowly, forcing his body to move, and walked over to the door to pull it open. He had spent the past couple of hours ever since Lana left and Yvonne declared her intention to show up, pulling himself together. His mind was a complete mess and though the realization came late, he was glad Yvonne was coming over.
He needed someone else to talk to other than himself. Someone to talk about anything to distract himself from unyielding chaos his mind was suddenly thrown into.
"Yvonne," he opened the door to her figure just as expected. "You're here."
"Yes, I am."
