He hurriedly run toward the guild headquarters. Sid always arrives at the guild 30 minutes earlier than the rest not because that he is a model employee or that he loves his job. He made sure that he arrives earlier than the rest of his guildmates to ensure of lesser beatings.
Meeting lesser people means welcoming fewer knuckles and feet with his body. He needs to go straight to the basement where the storage room lies (his very own private office) and after that he just need to time everything. Hunters usually do not stay in the headquarters, they just clock in, go to the cafeteria to get their food for the day, form a team, get their gears and head towards the monster zones within the guild's territory to hunt monster and level-up. At around 11:00 am most of the combat type guild members will be out of the headquarters and all that will remain in the guild are the higher-ups and the administrative personnel of the guild since not all awakened preferred being hunters some stay true with their Seeds of Power. Wanting jobs ranging from cooking, crafting and technology-based admin work so they can better take advantage of their awakened non-combat Seeds of Power. Some just do not want the grueling life of fighting monster since fighting monster equals life threatening dangers.
Sid might have awakened but he is still level one. He is still one of the weakest hunters, having a non-combat type Seed of Power (something he still does not understand) do not help in his predicament. So, laying low is the way to go. He is not like the people who has no ambition to get stronger, but he still has his weaknesses. He knows that showing off that he had awakened but with nothing to show for it will just add to more beatings that will come his way.
He needs information to make sure he understands the monster zones of his guild and other factions in City B. He has no choice if he wants to grow stronger, he needs to know where the weak monster for beginners is. Where are the areas he must avoid. Which territory are heavily guarded? Where most hunters preferred hunting spots and which type monsters live in his island city.
For this he must bite the bullet and go and put his head on a platter for a sure way to get a beatdown. He needs to go to Laura.

Sid crashed on the floor after he got kicked in his sides by Hank a B rank hunter who also serve as the head of security of the guild. The guild does not really need a B class a hunter to serve as its head of security since the presence alone of the higher-ups of the guild constitute to the strongest fighting force of City B. But Hank is a relative of one of the higher-ups of the guild, thus, the so-called important position was awarded to him. Hank loves to frequent the guilds library not for learning or contributing for the advancement of the academe. It is for the sole purpose of pursuing the belle of Dark Lagoon Lara.
"Why are you loitering trash? " Said Hank as he look down on the sprawled janitor.
"J-just to c-clean Sir" Sid stuttered. "I'll be g-going Sir" said Sid as he scampers toward the library.
"WHO GAVE YOU THE PERMISSION TO GO!" yelled Hank. "YOU CAN ONLY LEAVE, IF I TOLD YOU TO LEAVE" he continued.
"S**t" Sid thought, he can never go on his way. These a**holes will always find away to scold him and beat him just to show off their dominating side.
"Can you all please be quite" a monotonous voice said. "This is a library and this place needs silence for the knowledge to be passed" said Lara as she opens the door and face Hank.
"And you, you better start cleaning the library it is getting dusty in here" Lara said as she faced Sid, motioning him to go inside the library.
"Y-yes Ma'am" said Sid as he scampers off.
Sid proceeded in cleaning the guild's library and hopefully he can get the information he needed in the various books that can be find within the massive library.
Seeing that the coast is clear from Lara's admirers, he inches toward Lara and bowed.
"Thank you, Miss Lara," he said to Lara who was busy reading some book.
Lara merely nodded to him proceeded on to her own business.
"Ah…uhmmm" squeaked Sid. "Is it possible for me to browse some of these books, Miss Lara?" asked Sid.
"I don't see any reason to forbid you from doing so" said Lara in her usual monotonous voice as she keeps herself buried in the book in her hand. "You are a member of this guild, and every member can use all of the materials in these room" continued Lara in her most uncaring tone.
"T-t-thank you, Miss Lara" as he beamed with happiness.
Good thing that the library custodian was Lara. Her uncaring attitude gave Sid's a bit of a wiggling room. In his initial plan he would sneak the books he needed in his system's inventory. Since the guild doesn't know of his awakening, they are not guarded on the possibility of him sneaking the guild's possessions into his system's inventory. Even if they suspect him to be stealing anything they would most probably just frisk him personally. Sid being an unawaken is also the reason of him being assigned and gaining access to the guild's various storage facilities for cleaning since they can always see if he tries to sneak something out on said storage rooms.
With these access rights Sid formulated a plan to sneak some various essentials from the guild to help him in his quest to gain levels.
His first plan was to gain various information from the library and then he would take the other essentials from the storage rooms such as weapons, potions and gears. Since Lara gave him free access to the books, he would not be stealing in the library, thus lessening the chance of him being caught.
After two hours in the library, he bid farewell to Lara and again said his thanks. He then proceeded to the storage rooms to *wink wink* resume his cleaning duties before the other guild members can return from their hunt and submit the new resources they collected in todays hunt.
As he arrives in the storage rooms he presented his ID card to the storeroom attendant. He proceeded inside the storeroom which is huge. Inside the storeroom can fit five cruise ships. With shelves as high as the ceiling filled with various materials the guild members had collected in their hunt. Sid proceeded in the location of gears since it is the nearest to his location. He grabbed a black cloak with the guilds insignia and hurriedly willed it inside his inventory. He also took an all-black military style gear created by the guilds craftsmen to outfit the whole guild from head to toe.
As he proceeded to do his "cleaning" he proceeded to the weapons section. Up to now, he still does not have any idea on what type of weapon he would use since a weapon needs to be based on a person's fighting style and most importantly in his Seed of Power.
