Julian's POV
The video continued playing, showing Violet's tear-streaked face as she looked up at her mother with those innocent emerald eyes—my daughter's eyes.
"I promise I didn't push her, Mommy," Violet pleaded, her small voice breaking. "Please believe me."
Aurelia gathered our daughter into her arms, cradling her against her chest. "I believe you, sweetheart. I was there, remember? I saw everything."
"But why doesn't Daddy believe me?" Violet's lower lip trembled as fresh tears spilled down her cheeks. "Did I do something wrong to make him not like me?"
My chest constricted painfully. Each word from my daughter's mouth was like a silver blade piercing my heart.
"No, baby, no." Aurelia wiped Violet's tears with gentle fingers. "You haven't done anything wrong. Your daddy is just... very busy with his Alpha duties."
