Chapter 230 - The Forsaken Vow's Final Gamble

I stumbled through the Blightwood, my heart hammering against my ribs like it wanted to escape my chest. The forest closed in around me, branches reaching like skeletal fingers in the darkness. Every step felt watched. Every breath monitored.

"Keep moving," I muttered to myself, pushing through the underbrush.

The metallic scent of rot hung heavy in the air. This was a fool's errand. I knew it. But what choice did I have? Bianca was in custody. My schemes were unraveling. It was only a matter of time before the Alpha Council hunted me down like a common rogue.

A twig snapped somewhere behind me. I whirled around, eyes wild.

Nothing. Just more twisted trees and mist.

"Damn it all," I whispered, my voice trembling despite my efforts to sound brave.

I hadn't slept in days. Every shadow held Roman's vengeful eyes or Leo West's promised retribution. I could feel my sanity slipping away with each passing hour.
