Chapter 26 - The Future Luna's Prerogative

The moment I stepped out of the fitting room, the tension in the boutique hit me like a physical wave. I could sense Seraphina before I saw her—her cloying perfume and that distinctive, cold energy that always seemed to follow her like a shadow.

"I'll take the sapphire gown," I told Diana quietly. "Can you hold it for me while I find my friend?"

Diana nodded, her eyes darting nervously toward the front of the store where Seraphina's voice carried. I understood her concern—no saleswoman wanted drama between two high-ranking she-wolves in her boutique.

I moved carefully through the displays, hoping to slip out unnoticed. Wesley and Fabian should be returning soon, and the last thing I needed was for my son to witness another confrontation.

"What about this one, Sera?" I heard a woman ask.
