Chapter 2 - Dreams of Deceit Poem

In the center of all, where time has no name,A cataclysm stirred the eternal flame. From the silence before the first event,The energies pulsed and twisted and bent.

It happened then, where no stars had shone,Two gods were born — yet more than one.Not gods alone, but Endless, vast,Born as echoes of future and past.

The heart of all beat once, then twice,Creation split, like thrown-out dice. From Night's soft veil and Time's stern hand,They rose to walk, to speak, to stand.

The first to step from mystery's womb,Was Destiny, cloaked in threads of gloom. Then Death came next, serene and bright,With gentle eyes and wings of white.

But when the third was due to rise,The skies grew strange — a great surprise. For not one soul emerged, but two,Both clothed in mist and midnight hue.

Twin-born beings, side by side,Dream and Deceit, with secrets to hide. They came to dance on thought and scheme,To twist what's false and shape what's seen.

They rule between both lie and truth,In endless play since primal youth. With Dream, the worlds take shape and glow. With Deceit, the doubts and shadows grow.

Together they weave what's felt and known,To turn the world from stone to bone. And from that birth, the realms were torn,For Dream and Deceit had both been born.
