February 27, 2016, Augustopolis, Academy Military Legio Urbana, room No.10 "Marcus Augustus Felix" a few hours
Finally, Friday arrived. I'd been waiting for this moment; the "danger room" was ready for another brutal training session to simulate a baptism of fire in another era.
The Captain Claudius appeared in the room dressed more formally and carrying a clipboard, then he explained.
"Today's battle room training will be a little different. We'll create five teams of six people. Your objective remains the same as last week, but whoever manages to destroy a full ship with androids, the winner will be rewarded with tickets to the Augustopolis Annual Military Fair. We have to show that the battle room is something truly innovative." explains Captain Claudius.
There was a murmur among the cadets, but Captain Claudius quickly gave the order.
"Silence, cadets! Form teams for training! Now!" ordered Captain Claudius.
The room fell silent, then Captain Claudius spoke in an imperative tone.
"I give them three minutes to form a team, after which I press the button and the Battle Room begins." said Captain Claudius in an imperative tone.
Captain Claudius left the room and teams began to form.
Julius then waved to some cadets and they came over, then Julius introduced them.
"These are Paulus Josephus Ferreira Alberto de Avis, a Luso-Roman descendant of a lost branch of the House of Avis, Kotaro Kazami Ueda, member of the Kazami Family, Gustavus Favarus Aetius, son of Colonel Marcus Favarus Varius, Ibrahim Ibn Khalid, a Syrian-Lebanese man, the youngest son of former Imperial Guard member Masoud Ibn Khalid." Julius introduce them.
The first person to greet me was Kotaro; the Japanese people's always direct manner is a characteristic that distinguishes them from a Chinese or Korean. Then he told me.
"It's an honor to be part of the same group as the Crown Prince, and I hope we have the beginning of a long friendship." said Kotaro.
The second person to greet me was Ibrahim; he was the typical Syrian-Lebanese soldier, a man of few words but direct action.
Then he told me.
"It will be an honor to fight alongside the Crown Prince, just as my father served as a member of the Imperial Guard in the 90s." said Ibrahim.
The third person who came to greet me was Gustavus, a little different from the others. Gustavus had a father who fought in the Russo-Roman War and was visibly under pressure from his family to pursue a military career, then he told me.
"It is an honor to meet the future Roman-tropical emperor. Remember me when you speak with the military; my father is a very powerful man in the army, and I can link the army and the crown; we know that your grandfather, Emperor Titus IV, was a man of science and not of the army. If you follow the paths of the odd-numbered emperors, you will be disruptive." said Gustavus.
Finally, the last to greet me was Paulus, with his strong Luso-Roman accent and the famous "good Portuguese humor," he then said.
"It's an honor to meet the Crown Prince, but we don't have time for extensive praise; let's focus on our group." said Paulus.
A few seconds later, the training began.
