"I'm leaving, Master. I'll be back tomorrow morning," Haneul said, putting on his shoes at the entrance. He suddenly remembered something. "Don't forget to look at the gift I got you."
"I know, I know," Tsunade replied lazily from the sofa.
Slam. The door closed, and the living room was quiet again. The smile on Tsunade's face gradually faded. Having gotten used to Haneul's presence, his sudden departure felt a bit strange. She sat up and took out his gift. After unwrapping it, she saw a chain—more accurately, an anklet.
"What is this kid buying?" she shook her head, a small smile on her lips. She took out the anklet. It was a simple, plain silver chain without any excessive decoration. Haneul had fully considered her identity as a ninja and hadn't chosen a flashy one.
Tsunade looked around, then lifted her left leg and placed her foot on the edge of the sofa. She leaned forward, the taut fabric of her clothes outlining her full figure. She put the anklet on her fair, well-proportioned ankle. She stood up and walked a few steps on the bare floor. It made no sound and didn't hinder her movement. "Not bad," she thought, and decided to leave it on.
Before long, Haneul arrived back at his own home. He had just opened the door when he saw Kurenai running towards him, her small bare feet making a soft pattering sound on the floor. "Come on, into my room!" she said, pulling him along.
"What are you two doing?" Shinku Yuhi asked, his expression changing.
"Making him try on the clothes I bought," she replied, stopping at her door.
You've never bought me any clothes! Shinku's lip twitched, a look of utter defeat on his face.
Haneul entered the room and took out Kurenai's gift. It was a gray-black kimono. He quickly changed into it and came out. "It really does look good!" Kurenai said, her eyes shining with satisfaction.
He still looks like a brat, no matter how handsome, Shinku thought, his eyes sour.
"Thanks," Haneul said, patting her head. "I really like it."
"Mhm," Kurenai smiled happily. After all, he was wearing it for her to see, and it was indeed a pleasing sight.
The next morning.
Haneul arrived at Tsunade's house. "Master," he knocked. A moment later, the door opened, and Tsunade's well-endowed figure came into view. Her golden hair was messy, like a cat with its fur standing on end. His gaze shifted down, and he saw the anklet he had bought her. It was clasped around her ankle, close to her fair skin, adding a hint of sexiness.
"Go make breakfast," she said, closing the door and turning to her wardrobe. After she had dressed and washed up, breakfast was ready.
As he ate, he opened his Trait System. In the two months since school had started, he had acquired two new traits.
[D-Rank Talent Trait: Earth Style Genin.]
Effect: The power of all Earth Style jutsu is increased by 30%.
He had gotten the three necessary Earth Style jutsu from Kakashi in exchange for teaching him Lightning Style. The second trait was an unexpected surprise.
[D-Rank Talent Trait: Intermediate Chef.]
Effect: The deliciousness of his cooking is increased by 30%.
Its only use was earning Tsunade's praise.
After breakfast, the two of them headed to the Hokage Building. They ran into Sakumo Hatake on the way.
"Uncle Sakumo," Haneul greeted him.
"It's you two," Sakumo said with a hearty smile. "Long time no see."
"Are you here to see the old man?" Tsunade asked.
"Mhm," he nodded. "Lord Hokage said he has a mission for me."
Haneul felt a sense of dread. Sakumo and Tsunade on the same team? What kind of hellish difficulty is that? What am I supposed to do, be the cheerleader?
"We're probably on the same mission," Tsunade said with a light laugh.
The three of them went upstairs to the Hokage's office. Slam! Tsunade kicked the door open as usual.
"You're here," Hiruzen said, ignoring her actions. "What is the mission?" she asked directly.
"A request from the priestess Miko of the Land of Demons," he said, about to take a puff from his pipe, but Tsunade snatched it away.
"There's a child present. You can smoke after we leave," she said, glancing at Haneul.
Haneul was stunned, not by Tsunade, but by the mission. In the Naruto movie, Naruto Shippuden the Movie, the priestess of the Land of Demons was mentioned, but it was Miko's daughter, Shion. The cause was the demon Mōryō, which had been sealed by generations of priestesses.
"According to the priestess Miko, Mōryō has the power to destroy the ninja world," Hiruzen continued. "This will be an S-Rank mission, assigned to you."
"Shouldn't this kind of mission be given to Minato?" Tsunade frowned. "His sealing jutsu is more suitable for dealing with this so-called demon."
"Minato has gone to the Land of Lightning," Hiruzen said. "We've discovered that the youth who has inherited the name 'A' has appeared at the border." The one he was referring to was the future Fourth Raikage.
"He's just the final insurance. It doesn't matter much if he goes or not," Hiruzen smiled. "In fact, the priestess Miko said she has a way to seal Mōryō. You just need to protect her."
"Understood," Sakumo agreed. But Tsunade looked hesitant.
"The priestess has also sent out requests to the other ninja villages. The Hidden Stone and Hidden Mist have already agreed," Hiruzen said, noticing her expression. "No matter how strong Mōryō is, it can't be stronger than a Tailed Beast. Don't worry too much."
"Just in case, old man, give me two Anbu squads," Tsunade said, glancing at Haneul.
"Tsunade, you need to learn to let go," Hiruzen said with a laugh. He was actually happy to see this. The deeper her bonds, the less likely she was to leave Konoha.
"Stop wasting my time!" she said, slamming his pipe on the table. "Two Anbu squads, not one less!"
