Chapter 3 - The Deal of Sins and Power

Rudra Varma sat on the hospital bed, frozen.

He could feel the bandages on his chest. The pain was real. The heartbeat monitor beeped slowly beside him. But something even stranger was happening inside his mind.

"You have inherited your father's legacy — all of it."

"Not just money. Not just enemies. But his sins too."

"And with that... you have activated the Villain Legacy System."

Rudra blinked. He looked around.

"Who said that?" he whispered.

There was no one else in the room.

Only that strange robotic voice echoed inside his head.

"No use looking around. I'm inside you now. Like a parasite. Or a blessing."

"Depends on how you use me."

Rudra slowly whispered again, "System?"

"Yes. I'm your system. Your partner. Your curse. Your power."

"You have 17,000 sins attached to your name. That's how many people your father hurt, cheated, killed, or ruined."

Rudra felt like throwing up.

He had tried so hard to run away from Raavan Varma's shadow. But now, that same shadow had returned… and entered his very soul.

"What do you want from me?" he asked.

"You must redeem those sins."

"Do good things. But do them like a villain would."

"Help people. Save lives. But with fear. With style. With absolute domination."

Rudra couldn't believe it.

"Why would I do that? I'm not a villain."

"Exactly. That's why you've been chosen."

"You are Righteous by Force, Feared by Choice."

[SYSTEM MISSION UNLOCKED]

First Sin Redemption Mission:A local gangster named "Ravi Thakur" is extorting money from the same school you work at.He comes every Friday. Tomorrow is Friday.Your mission: Make him stop.Condition: You must not call the police. You must stop him like a villain.Reward: +100 Sin Points Cleansed, +Villain Aura (Level 1)

Rudra couldn't help but laugh bitterly.

"Why me? Why this life? I just wanted peace."

The system replied coldly.

"Then you should have died when you were shot."

"But you didn't. That means the world still needs you."

The Next Morning

Rudra wore his plain clothes. He looked like a normal schoolteacher again.

But his eyes had changed.

He had not slept all night. He kept reading the system's details — his powers, missions, and the legacy he had inherited.

There was a hidden panel in the system:

[Bloodline: Raavan Varma – The Tyrant King]➤ Bonus Traits: Fear Aura, Strategic Mind, Dark Charm➤ Awakening Level: 0%

[Villain Points: 0]➤ Use VP to buy skills, outfits, and tools.➤ Gain VP by completing missions, intimidating enemies, or solving problems like a boss.

Rudra didn't fully understand everything yet. But he knew one thing—

If he had to clean 17,000 sins…

He couldn't stay weak anymore.

At the School Gate

It was Friday.

Just as the system said, a black SUV parked outside the school.

Three rough-looking men stepped out.

One of them wore a gold chain thicker than his neck. His eyes were hidden behind black shades. He chewed gum like he owned the world.

Ravi Thakur.

He and his men walked into the school office, as they did every week.

Inside, Rudra stood near the reception desk.

Principal Deshmukh was already there — sweating buckets, holding an envelope.

"Sir, this is this week's… you know…"

Ravi took the envelope without even looking at him.

"Good boy," he said with a smirk.

But before he could turn, Rudra stepped in front of him.

"Wait," Rudra said calmly.

Ravi raised an eyebrow.

"Who are you?"

"Just a teacher," Rudra smiled.

"But I don't like bullies."

The men behind Ravi laughed.

"This guy's funny," one of them said.

"You don't want trouble, sir," another added. "Just teach your maths and move aside."

Rudra didn't move.

"Let me give you a math lesson then," he said, still smiling.

"If you take money from 20 schools every week, that's about 1 lakh a month. Not bad."

"But if one of those schools decides to fight back, you'll lose everything."

Ravi's eyes narrowed.

"And what if I slap you right now?"

Rudra leaned closer.

"You can try. But I'm Raavan Varma's son."

Silence.

The room went cold.

Even Ravi's goons looked at each other.

Everyone knew the name Raavan Varma. The name alone used to make big politicians sweat.

"You're bluffing," Ravi said.

Rudra reached into his coat pocket.

Pulled out a small card.

Black. Metal. Etched with a red mark.

The Raavan Mark.

The same one worn by his father's most trusted people.

Ravi's eyes widened.

He took a step back.

"You… you're lying."

Rudra didn't reply. He just stared.

His calm gaze was more terrifying than a scream.

[System Alert!]

Villain Aura Level 1 Activated.Nearby enemies now feel psychological fear.Weak enemies will hesitate to attack.Dominance Increased.

Ravi's gum dropped from his mouth.

He turned to his men. "Let's go."

They left without a word.

Principal Deshmukh stared at Rudra like he had seen a ghost.

"You… who are you, really?"

Rudra smiled.

"Just a teacher."

[Mission Completed!]

Extortion stopped.No police involved.Intimidation successful.

+100 Sins Cleansed!+10 Villain Points Earned!Villain Aura Upgraded: Level 1 (75%)

Later That Night

Rudra sat alone in his small apartment.

The city lights blinked outside. He stared at his reflection in the mirror.

He saw himself.

But behind his eyes… he saw someone else.

Someone darker.

Someone stronger.

"I'm not a villain," he whispered.

"But I'll use villainy… to do good."

The system chimed in again.

"Good.""Now let's move to the next mission. This one… is personal."
