Chapter 12 - The First Hunter and the Villain’s Smile

Rudra stared at the laptop screen, expression calm… too calm.

The email still glowed brightly in the dark room.

Subject: I Know What You DidSender: [Unknown]Message:"You think you're clever, don't you? Loyal Dogs? Please. You're just barking in the dark.Let's meet. I like people with ambition."

There was no traceable IP. No metadata. No origin.

Even Arjun, who could hack into secure government files, couldn't break it.

"Bhai… whoever sent this isn't normal," Arjun said, hands shaking just a bit. "They used three layers of quantum-level encryption. I've only seen something like this in military AIs."

Devika bit her lip. "So… someone's watching us?"

Rudra slowly nodded.

"And they're smart enough to make it a game."

Next Morning – New Location

Rudra didn't return home that night.

He had already started planning the Loyal Dogs' second hideout, one that wasn't digital or easy to trace. A forgotten observatory on a mountain's edge—abandoned for years—became their new temporary base.

As the team settled in, Rudra gathered them.

"Someone has stepped into the chessboard. But they didn't attack… they invited us."

Ritesh laughed nervously. "Bro, sounds like some secret society drama."

Rudra smiled. "Exactly."

He walked to the board and drew a new symbol:🜏

A simple circle with a dot in the middle. That was the signature at the end of the email.

"What's that?" Devika asked.

Rudra answered calmly. "The mark of the first hunter."

Flashback – System Memory Playback

Suddenly, Rudra's system activated on its own.

[Villain's Legacy System Alert][Hunter Class Entity Detected][Warning: Hunters are beings chosen by the World System to maintain balance][They target anomalies like you: Villains with power][They are strong. They are smart. They don't forgive.]

[Suggestion: Proceed with caution.]

Rudra grinned.

"So… the world finally noticed me."

The Meeting Point – A Shadowed Rooftop

That night, Rudra followed the instructions in the email. He told no one—not even Arjun or Devika.

He walked to a rooftop of an old railway station.

At exactly 11:11 PM, a figure emerged from the shadows.

It was a boy.

No older than Rudra himself. Slim. Clean face. Spectacles. He wore a grey hoodie, hands in pockets.

"I expected someone older," Rudra said casually.

The boy smiled. "I expected someone dumber."

Both stared at each other for five seconds.

Then the boy spoke.

"My name is Yuvaan. Code: H-13. I'm a First-Class Hunter of the World Balance Order."

Rudra raised an eyebrow. "Catchy name. Sounds like a religious cult."

Yuvaan laughed. "More like a system-sponsored assassination squad."

Yuvaan's Warning

"I've watched you, Rudra," Yuvaan said seriously. "You're good. Too good. Bringing down Roy and Thakur? That was brilliant. But dangerous."

Rudra tilted his head. "Dangerous to who?"

"To the balance," Yuvaan replied. "You're not a hero. But you're not a full villain either. You're… unpredictable. And that's what makes you our problem."

He paused.

"There are other Villain-class system holders in the world. Some burn cities. Some rule cartels. But you? You wear righteousness like armor. That's new. That's risky."

Rudra grinned. "You're afraid of me."

Yuvaan's smile faded.

"No. I'm impressed."

The Offer

"I won't kill you," Yuvaan said. "Yet."

Rudra raised an eyebrow.

"But I will give you a choice. Join the World Balance Order. Be monitored. Be guided. You'll have access to secrets even your system doesn't know. You'll be powerful… safe."

Rudra chuckled.

"Safe is for sheep. I'm the wolf."

"You'll regret this," Yuvaan said softly.

"Maybe," Rudra said, turning to leave. "But not tonight."

Back at the Observatory Base

Devika was pacing the floor when Rudra walked in.

"Where were you?! We were going mad—"

Rudra held up his hand.

"We've entered a new level."

He showed them the photo of Yuvaan on the screen.

"The first hunter has arrived. And he's just the beginning."

Ritesh gulped. "So what now?"

Rudra tapped the board."Phase 2: Build the Inner Circle."

Rudra's Plan

"We need more people," Rudra said. "Not pawns. Monsters."

Arjun smiled. "Sounds like fun."

Devika raised an eyebrow. "And where do we find these monsters?"

Rudra's eyes gleamed.

"In the darkness… where all broken angels live."

Meanwhile – A Hidden Cave in Kashmir

A woman with white hair opened her laptop.

She wore a torn lab coat and had bloodstained gloves.

She smiled as she saw the viral video Rudra had leaked two days ago.

"So the next Villain has appeared…"

She clicked a button.
