Athilda's pov
My legs were shaking, but I still managed to walk to my sister Talia's room. I could not stop biting my lip, and I knew it would bleed any moment. Tears were already building up as I stepped inside.
My eyes met Lucien's for a second before I quickly looked away and saw that my sister was asleep.
He is really angry.
The way he looked at me made my chest tighten, like he blamed me for everything and wanted to hurt me for what I had done to his mother and daughter.
"Anak," my auntie said softly, motioning for me to come closer. I hesitated, afraid she might embarrass me or slap me because of what happened to her favourite child.
"Anak, is something wrong? Your sister is fine now, do not worry." She stood up from the bed, and I stepped back, bracing for a slap that never came.
"What is wrong?" she asked again, sounding confused. Before I could answer, she pulled me into a hug and wiped away the tears I had not even realised were falling.
