Chapter 8 - Chapter 9 I am not going to cry anymore

After ending the call with Sila, Natasha placed the phone aside and got out of bed. Her legs were weak and she couldn't properly stand by herself. She supported her body on the wall.

She could feel some kind of weird high temperature on her body, and she couldn't tell what it was all about. She assumed that maybe it was because of the scary dream she had just had that night.

After standing in the same spot for a few minutes, she felt her body regaining its energy, and she headed to the bathroom. She got into the hot water bath tub and immersed her whole body in water. She felt good. Natasha closed her eyes, and the previous day's memories flooded into her mind.

Kenny really didn't want her, he wanted Sophia, he loved Sophia more, he hated her and was only using her as a blood bank for Sophia, the girl he liked. The marriage between her and Kenny was just an illusion for her; it never happened.

Natasha didn't want to cry anymore, but tears kept flowing down her cheeks. Her heart was full of pain. She closed her eyes again.

"I'm not going to cry anymore," she whispered.

With her wet hands, she wiped off the tears and washed her body.

She grabbed the clean towel in the bathroom, tied it around her chest and got out of the room. Before she could get to the room where she had spent the night, she heard a knock on the door.

"Knock.. knock..knock.." Without thinking much, she quickly put on her clothes and went to open the door.

"Good morning, Natasha," Dr June stood at the door with a plastic bag in his hands.

Natasha felt a little disappointed when he saw Dr June. What did he expect? Did she expect that it would be Kenny knocking at the door?

Why would Kenny be there? Kenny was busy taking care of his Sophia.

Natasha quickly shook her head, " Good morning, Dr June." Dr June had noticed her reaction. " Is everything okay? How did you sleep?" he asked.

"Am good, thanks much for asking, come in," she said while ushering him in.

"Thanks, but I was just passing by to see if you are okay. I am heading to the hospital. I have surgery to attend to in an hour's time," he said softly.

He then extended his hand to hand over the plastic bag in his hand to Natasha, " I got something for you, make sure you eat so that your body can go back to its original self," he said.

Natasha smiled. " Thanks very much, Dr June," she said while picking the bag from his hands. She was glad that at least he was there to take care of her, and he had helped her.

"I'll head to the hospital now. If you need anything, kindly call me, and I will try as much as possible to help you," he said.

"I appreciate that,

But..." She hesitated; she wanted to tell him that she would be leaving, but she decided against the idea.

"Do you have anything to say?" Dr June asked.

"Not really. I just wanted to say that I am sorry for bothering you too much."

Dr June smiled, " No worries, girl," he said while smiling back. Then he turned to leave.

Natasha stood at the door for a few minutes until Dr June's car disappeared from her sight. That's when she went back into the house.

She sat on the bed and opened the bag, and the room was filled with an aroma of delicious food. It was a nicely packed breakfast kit with three pieces of sausages, two samosas, two slices of bread, baked beans and a small packed teacup with milk tea.

She smiled, her stomach rumbled, and she was indeed hungry. Without wasting time, she started munching on the food. The breakfast was yummy. She was eating like a thief, like someone who hadn't eaten for days.

When she picked the slice of bread, her mind was filled with memories of Kenny. Kenny used to wake up very early and make toast from bread for her. He knew that she liked toasted bread very much. He would always do that almost every day.

Natasha had promised herself that she wasn't going to cry anymore because of Kenny, and, despite the surge of emotions and pain from her heart, she controlled herself, she didn't shed a single tear this time round.

She bit a piece of the bread, but she couldn't swallow it. It didn't taste good. It wasn't as yummy as the one that Kenny used to prepare for her. She tried chewing it but she couldn't manage. She rushed into the toilet bowl and vomited up everything that was in her mouth.

She then stood in front of the mirror in the bathroom and looked at herself. She looked haggard, she looked like an empty vessel, she looked like a walking dead.

Natasha didn't like what she had just seen. That wasn't her. She was supposed to be a happy girl, and Natasha was brought up by a loving dad, a jovial girl who was loved by many.

She shook her head and smiled. Her smile was sweet and alluring.

Natasha grabbed the food remains and threw them in the bin at the back of the house. She didn't want Dr June to find out that she hadn't finished the food she bought for herself.

She knew that she was making a big mistake leaving without informing her savior, Dr June, but she had to leave. It would be best for her if fewer people knew about her relocation.

It would be a great opportunity for her to start over again. Will she fall in love again? Maybe with another man? Maybe get married and have kids?

That was her biggest dream. She wanted to have kids with Kenny and to have a happy family.

She didn't know, and she didn't want to know what the future held for her.

What she wanted most was to mend her broken heart, to pick up her broken pieces and put them together so that she could be the Natasha that she ever wanted.
